12 best schecter 8 string guitars
Schecter 8-string guitars are instruments designed for musicians who seek extended range and versatility in their playing. These guitars are part of the broader category of solid-body electric guitars and are favored by players looking to explore lower tunings and a broader tonal palette. Here's what you need to know about Schecter 8-string guitars:
Extended Range: Schecter 8-string guitars, as the name suggests, feature eight strings instead of the traditional six found on standard guitars. These extra strings provide a wider range of notes, allowing guitarists to experiment with lower tunings and access deeper, more resonant tones.
Construction: Schecter guitars are known for their quality construction. These 8-string models typically feature solid-body designs made from various tonewoods, such as mahogany or basswood, which contribute to the guitar's overall tone and sustain.
Pickups: Schecter equips their 8-string guitars with a variety of pickup configurations to cater to different playing styles and tonal preferences. You may find models with humbuckers, single-coils, or a combination of both, which can be coil-split for even more tonal versatility.
Scale Length: The scale length of an 8-string guitar is typically longer than that of a standard 6-string guitar. This longer scale length helps maintain string tension and clarity, especially when playing lower-tuned strings.
Tuning Options: One of the primary advantages of 8-string guitars is the ability to explore various tunings. Musicians often use these guitars for drop tunings, extended range chords, or to experiment with unique sonic textures.
Versatility: Schecter 8-string guitars are versatile instruments suitable for various musical genres, including metal, progressive rock, djent, jazz, and more. Their extended range makes them ideal for heavy, chugging riffs as well as intricate lead work.
Aesthetics: Schecter is known for producing guitars with visually appealing designs. Many 8-string models feature sleek, modern aesthetics, including stylish inlays, unique finishes, and ergonomic body shapes.
Customization: Some Schecter models offer customization options, allowing players to select specific features like pickups, hardware, and finishes to create a personalized instrument.
Popular Models: Schecter offers a range of 8-string guitar models, including the Schecter Banshee Elite-8, Schecter Omen-8, and Schecter C-8 models, among others. These models cater to different price points and player preferences.
In summary, Schecter 8-string guitars are well-regarded for their build quality, tonal options, and versatility. Whether you're a guitarist looking to explore new musical territories or seeking a broader sonic palette, Schecter's 8-string offerings are worth considering for their extended range and performance capabilities.

User questions & answers
Question: | Would you ship to a US shipping broker |
Answer: | yes, just be sure the address you want us to ship to is one you use with amazon to pay |
Question: | Where will my bass be built? Does it come with a case? What is the fingerboard radius? Thanks in advance for your time |
Answer: | It's built in S. Korea unfortunately but plays and sounds awesome. Doesn't come with a case either. I'm not sure what the radius is but it's smaller then my Alembic Epic 5 string so it still is comfortable to play |
Question: | Does the version sold by Amazon include the hardcase? It does if purhcased from the Schected webstore |
Answer: | It did not include any case. This is a good bass but here was my ordeal. It took 2 weeks to get it a d when I did, the circuitry was defective. I had to call schecter and they sent me out replacement circuitry. It was easy enough for me to remove the original circuitry and attach the replacement. The guitar was still under warranty. |
Question: | is this an active or passive system |
Answer: | Active |

Answer: | Passive |
Question: | what country is it from |
Answer: | made in Indonesia |

Answer: | HAAAAHAHAHAHHAAAA! Awesome! Of course it does. Do you? |
Question: | How is the access to the higher frets? Are they easy to play or are the bolts in the way |
Answer: | Higher frets are very, very easy to access. However, for the bass strings, the sheer size of the neck makes it a bit difficult, but that's only if you intend on hitting the 22ND fret on the F# string. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it have the sustainiac switch in it |
Answer: | Yes. Have 2 switches near the floyd. The upper activates the sustainiac and the lower sets the level of sustain adding harmonics. |
Question: | Does this guitar have the skull |
Answer: | When i bought it and received it, no, it did not have the skull. In fact it had dots along the left side of the board (with the headstock facing away from you). Was pretty disappointed with this, but when i called to check if it was a mistake, they notified that they no longer make it with the skull. :( |
Question: | Is the fretboard ebony or rosewood |
Answer: | the fretboard is ebony. |
Question: | Is this the black version or the new acqua color |
Answer: | Mine was black and was PERFECT, however I don't use the sustainiac.. it's a cool feature but would be better without for more option for tone.. guitar is killer but should have gotten one without the feature.. Stays in tune til you need to change the strings, and I am diving and yanking on that FL-Rose |
