12 best fender left hand acoustic guitars
Fender is primarily known for its electric guitars, such as the iconic Stratocaster and Telecaster models. However, they also produce left-handed acoustic guitars. Left-handed acoustic guitars are designed for players who are left-handed and prefer to strum or fingerpick with their left hand while holding the fretboard with their right hand.
Fender's left-handed acoustic guitars typically feature the same quality and craftsmanship as their right-handed counterparts. They come in various body shapes and sizes, catering to different playing styles and tonal preferences. Some of the popular Fender acoustic guitar models include:
Fender CD-60S LH: This is an affordable and versatile left-handed dreadnought acoustic guitar. It features a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, offering a warm and well-balanced tone.
Fender FA-125CE LH: This is a left-handed acoustic-electric guitar with a cutaway body design. It's equipped with a Fishman pickup system, making it suitable for both acoustic and amplified performances.
Fender California Series Left-Handed Acoustics: Fender offers various models in their California Series that cater to left-handed players. These guitars often feature unique body shapes and stylish finishes.
Fender Newporter Player LH: This left-handed acoustic-electric guitar has a distinctive, modern design and is great for players looking for a versatile instrument suitable for various musical genres.
Fender American Acoustasonic Series: While these guitars are more on the premium side, they are known for their innovative blend of acoustic and electric tones. They are available in left-handed configurations as well.
Fender's left-handed acoustic guitars are built to meet the needs of left-handed guitarists, providing them with high-quality instruments that deliver great sound and playability. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, Fender offers a range of options for left-handed guitarists to choose from.

Available in a left-handed version (appropriately, considering its designer is a southpaw), the Tim Armstrong Hellcat is designed by its namesake, the founder of influential U.S. punk band Rancid. As a songwriter, Armstrong has always turned to his old Fender concert-style acoustic for inspiration. The Hellcat was based on that classic instrument, with modern appointments such as high-quality onboard electronics. A great guitar for pop, rock, folk and more, it has a solid mahogany top for a sweet sound and a satin-finish maple neck for smooth playability.

Fender Classic Design Series
The familiar warmth of an acoustic guitar is something memories and traditions are built with, and a new player’s first guitar is the most critical part of their musical journey. Classic Design guitars combine the timelessness of tried-and-true body shapes with top-notch craftsmanship and modern features that will appeal to beginner and intermediate guitarists alike. Whether you’re looking for the classic tone of a spruce/mahogany dreadnought, experimenting with smaller body shapes like a parlor or concert, or exploring new tones with nylon strings or acoustic basses, you’ll find your next source of inspiration within Fender’s Classic Design series.
Solid Spruce Top
Spruce is the standard modern tonewood for fashioning the tops of acoustic guitars and other acoustic instruments. Few woods can beat its strength, brightness, and dynamic range, and it responds well to any acoustic playing style, from hard strumming to fast flatpicking to delicate fingerpicking.
Easy-to-Play Neck
With its comfortably rolled fingerboard edges, this instrument’s neck creates an incredibly comfortable fret-hand feel that's ideal for beginning players or experienced pros alike.
Fishman Preamp and Tuner
A Fishman pickup/preamp system includes a variety of onboard controls for amplifying your acoustic instrument without compromising its pure, rich, and resonant tone. It also features a convenient built-in tuner.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this an original fender product |
Answer: | As far as I know |
Question: | Can it be restrung with nylon strings |
Answer: | This acoustic does not have nylon strings. Steel strings are installed from factory on the CC-60S. It is possible to install nylon strings but adjustments to the nut will be important as the treble strings are thicker in size. I would recommend taking to a Fender Authorized Service Tech to have these adjustments made to accommodate Nylon strings for this Fender guitar. |
Question: | some guitars are more difficult due to the amount of pressure needed on strings by fingers. How does this guitar relate to that |
Answer: | Yes, the gig bag is included. |
Question: | Is the Yamaha worth a $100 more than this one |
Answer: | It more about the size of the child. My daughter plays one and she is 5ft 3in and wieghts about 110lb. So I think the average 14yr old could definitely handle the size. |

Question: | Does this hard case have the 4 little metal feet on the end to stand it on? Does it have a lock and key |
Answer: | I does have lock and key, can't remember about the 4 little feet tho. That's never been a concern of mine. |
Question: | Is this a junior or |
Answer: | Full size |
Question: | Beginner here. can i switch the strings out for nylon. if so what kind/type/size do i buy |
Answer: | No reason why you cant. Just be aware that the sound of nylon strings will not be as strong or full on a dreadnaught style as the steel strings. Mine came with 12s. I considered changes them to say, 10s, but my fingers quickly callused up to the 12 after a few days of pain. I practiced very brief periods of time several times a day until then. Been practicing a few hours a day since then for about 8 weeks and I dont really notice any discomfort now. But there is nothing wrong with starting with nylons. |
Question: | Can this guitar be ordered for left handed |

User questions & answers
Question: | The guitar was missing one strap button, shouldn’t there be two |
Answer: | This model, like a lot of cheaper acoustics, only has one. The easiest thing to do is tie the other end of the strap to the headstock, by the nut. Or you could have a second button installed at a guitar shop (or on your own if you're brave). |
Question: | How long is the delivery? I need it on 27 for a present |
Answer: | Probably won't make it in time now |
Question: | How hard is it to tune yourself when you first get it? (Total rookie here- wanting to start learning |
Answer: | There is a tuner. You just set it to the guitar and plink a string, then the tuner shows the tone. It’s very easy. I was a very beginner but could tune it immediately. |
Question: | What’s the size difference between kid size and this guitar. It’s for an 8 year old. Is this too big |
Answer: | Yes, it's going to be too big for most 8-year olds. I'd recommend that you go to a regular guitar store and try several out before making your decision, so you have some benchmarks to help you decide. There are 3/4 sized guitars which sound pretty decent for beginners, and also there are cutaways and double cutaways (Yamaha for example) with thinner bodies that make it easier for a child or small adult to learn. Also ask about the "scale" of the guitar. Regular scale is 25.5 inches, but slightly shorter guitars will be easier for children and small adults to play. I recommend that you buy a brand name, as well. If the guitar is well-made, the person is more likely to stay with it and end up learning to play the guitar. |

Steel Strings
Strung with steel strings for a brighter, louder sound, steel-string acoustic guitars are the most popular type of guitar. The most popular style for these guitars are chord-based and acoustic/solo sets.
Right-Handed
The orientation of this guitar is designed for right-handed players. This means strumming takes place with the right hand, while frets are depressed using the left hand.

User questions & answers
Question: | I live in Georgia(in Europe), so I'm worried about damaging guitar. it comes without case, what should i do to avoid damage when its transported |
Answer: | Giorgi, It comes very well packaged in sturdy cardboard & foam. It arrived to me without any damage. I bought a gig bag for transportation now that I have it. |
Question: | does it have a gloss neck |
Answer: | No, it's a satin neck. |
Question: | Are these covered in a fake wood veneer, or are they solid alder with a clear coat finish |
Answer: | I wouldn't say a solid piece of alder, and some are saying 3 to 5 solid pieces put together very professionally, but mine seems to be 3 pieces put together not 5. As for the butterscotch color, it's a beautiful butterscotch with a clear coat so you can clearly see the wood grains straight through. It's interesting because other butterscotch blonde telecasters have a solid color and you cannot see through them, but for this affinity telecaster, it's quite a sight to see in person. |
Question: | can i use snigjat guitar stand(https://www.amazon.com/dp/b07wdpwczh/ref=sr_1_39?keywords=guitar+stand) with fender electric guitar |
Answer: | Yes you surely can..The stand is light but very nice and i would say as long as you use common sense caution around the guitar when its in the stand then it will be just fine! Nice guitar by the way' I have the same one and love it" |
