Question: | Can you put a whammy bar on this |
Answer: | yes if you know how to route out the areas with the proper equipment and skills. so buy one with it!!! |
Question: | what gauge strings come with this ibanez |
Answer: | 10's |
Question: | How low is the action or how low can you get the action on this thing |
Answer: | In my case, the action was set properly (I like it lowwwww). However, the frets were not properly leveled accordingly. Thus, it had some buzzing and a few notes that did not play. Know that you may have to have it worked on before it plays well (part of the hazards of buying something like this online). |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it comes with a bag |
Answer: | No, no bag included. |
Question: | is this guitar good for metal music |
Answer: | Actually this guitar seems best suited for Metal! The pickups are really clean when using a Metal pedal |
Question: | Does this guitar come with a strap |
Answer: | I don't think it does unless otherwise stated by the seller. I bought mine online. I came without a strap. |
Question: | does it have a tremolo to help keep it in tune |
Answer: | Tremolo's are often referred to as wawah bars, since they will induce a wawah into an existing sound. They are notorious for throwing a guitar out of tune. For the money this is a very good guitar. Even the tremolo is not bad. If you are able to spend another $50.00 you can get a locking tremolo that will help hold the guitars tune. You can also spend $10.00 and buy a good Snark tuner, which can stay attached to the head of the guitar. With the Snark you can retune your guitar in less than a minute. |

Question: | How many frets does this guitar have |
Answer: | Ibanez RG guitars come with 24 frets. |
Question: | does it come with a gig bag |
Answer: | No it does not |
Question: | Is the neck color like the one in the picture or is it it lighter |
Answer: | The neck color is a light maple color. The actual fret board is a dark rosewood color. For an inexpensive guitar it's pretty impressive. Good action right out of the box no adjustment needed and pretty good tone. I actually enjoy playing it. |
Question: | Is this guitar made in china or Indonesia |
Answer: | Indonesia |

User questions & answers
Question: | Dose it come with amp or cord |
Answer: | It does not include an amp cord, no case, no picks, and no strap. I purchased an Orange CR20L 8" amp, I highly recommend. It's small but mighty and definitely better quality than the beginner/bundled amps from Fender or Peavey. Guitar straps for beginners are reasonable ($6-25). I play for my own pleasure...so I bought a guitar stand instead of a case. Have fun jamming! |
Question: | Does this guitar work with rock smith |
Answer: | Just about any electric guitar should do. |
Question: | is this full size |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Is this size okay for 8 year old? What else do I need to get him, like amp, cables, etc |
Answer: | This is a perfect guitar for an 8 year old. As far as beginner guitars go this one is one of the best I've come across. As far as amps and cables. Youd be good with going with a cheaper amp. A cheap beginner amp would be line 6. The spider 4 model is a good one. It certainly isn't top of the line but it lasts pretty well. The Cables are up to you. When i recieved the guitar it came with a cheap cable. I prefer live wire cables. The size is dependent on your preference. If you have a guitar center in your area the store near me offers live wire cables with a lifetime warranty included. So you can replace broken cables if you have to for free |

Answer: | Passive |
Question: | what is the exact weight of this guitar? product pages make no sense - blue one says 7.5lb, dragon eye - 10.55lb, some other online resource says |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are there pegs to attach a strap to |
Answer: | I lost my regular black one that my dad gave me. I didn't even consider a different capo. I love the gold color and shimmer, it looks so pretty with my acoustic orange Ibanez! |
Question: | Can it be used together |
Answer: | The properties of the pad on the capo are such that this capo is likely to work well with either a six-string acoustic or a six-string electric guitar. The fact is: the difference in radius between most guitar fretboards is very small. There are a few exceptions to this, but if you own one of those guitars you probably already know that using a special capo is preferred. In addition, keep in mind that that capo works by pressing the strings down, not actually making perfect contact with the fretboard. This minimizes the differences even further. |
Question: | What is the width of the fingerboard at the nut |
Answer: | I know that this is slightly curved to match the necks of steel string electrics and acoustics, but because of its rubber surgace i think it will do fine. It is more universal than other capos ive used, and i think that for at least most of the neck of a classical it would do what it needs to. |
Question: | is the back solid or in two pieces |
Answer: | I bought both the "6 Rosewood Acoustic" and "E Electric Quick Change Capo". The rubber pad is 1/32 (.031") inch longer on the acoustic capo. The spring on the acoustic capo is stronger. The photos look like there is a rubber pad to protect the edge of the fretboard, but there IS NO PAD to protect the eedge of the fretboard. It is a piece of tape. It may provide some protection. The clamp leg could be longer. If you accidentally release before completely on, the end of the clamp leg may press against the neck. |

Ibanez created the Artwood Series to be an ode to their rich tradition of acoustic guitars while adding the modern accoutrements needed by today's guitarist. The AW54CEOPN is a visual stunner with a solid mahogany top (with mahogany back, sides, and neck) and an open pore natural finish that really shows off the mahogany's beautiful woodgrain. Adding to its aesthetic charm is a black and white multi-rosette, a cutaway that helps you access the entire rosewood fingerboard, a rosewood AW bridge with bone saddle, tortoise pickguard and chrome die-cast Grover tuners. The mahogany construction provides you with plenty of warmth naturally, but when you need to plug in, the AW54CEOPN has a Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez's AEQ210TF preamp that features a simple 2-band control, which makes adjusting the sound easy while providing plenty of bottom. It also has a phase switch for reducing feedback and user-friendly onboard tuner.
- Dreadnought body with cutaway
- Solid mahogany top
- Mahogany back and sides
- Rosewood bridge and fretboard
- Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp with onboard tuner
User questions & answers
Question: | Where is this made |
Answer: | Made in China then shipped to Ibanez in Maryland for quality control and then shipped to Eureka Music Center where we go over the guitar again to insure playability and customer satisfaction. |
Question: | Aside from the cutaway and preamp system, what else am I getting from this guitar when compared to the ibanez aw54 opn |
Answer: | U GET CUTAWAY, AND ELECTRONICS..otherwise the same |
Question: | What hard shell case would fit this guitar |
Answer: | The Ibanez part number for the case is PF50C |
Question: | Which one is better in your opinion, the mahogany fender cd-60sce or ibanez aw54ceopn |
Answer: | Don't buy a guitar on amazon unless you have already played it. Go down to a music store with the largest selection of guitars and play them until you find your favorite. Take your smart phone with you and do a price comparison online. Buy from the cheapest source. If you are buying this guitar as a gift bring that person with you to have them try out the guitars. A guitar is a personal thing that you will be using for long hours for many years. You can't just read other people's opinions online. Base your decision on the tone and feel of the guitar. Not the way it looks. Trust me, in time that pretty guitar will start to look very ugly if it hurts your hands or sounds bad. |

A bone nut and saddle are chosen for its ability to transfer the string vibration naturally. D'Addario Nickel Bronze strings emphasize the natural voice of Thermo Aged wood with incredible clarity, resonance and projection. Artwood Vintage Series The “modern approach to acoustic guitar tradition” has long been Alvarez's catchphrase for the Artwood series. Artwood Vintage steps even further back in history and borrows the best features of highly desired vintage instruments. The Artwood Vintage series now showcases another vintage element by applying an “aging” process to the tonewood —“ Termo Aged “tone wood, made by a special drying process at a high temperature which is commonly known as “baking” or “torrefaction”. Only choice selected and seasoned tone wood can be cured to Thermo Aged wood. The wood is heated in a vacuum with a specific recipe for each kind of the wood in order to release water and decompose resin contained within the wood. As a result, Thermo Aged tone wood becomes light, hard and stable like tone wood dried for decades, while providing amazing response and a louder sound. The tone character includes a full-bodied low-end and a great smooth sustain in the treble strings which are common features of vintage gu...

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you put a floyd rose in it |
Answer: | No. The body would need a cut out to go forward and back with a floyd rose. |
Question: | Does it gave a tremolo bar |
Answer: | No, this does not use a tremolo(Whammy) bar. |
Question: | how good is the quality? just as good as the average Ibanez |
Answer: | Very good quality for the price. Much nicer than I thought it would be. The only thing I would say is it goes out of tune faster than a full size guitar, but I think that is a typical issue with 3/4 size guitars. After I put some new thinner Guage strings on it stays in tune much better. Very nice guitar! |
Question: | year old female, small hands most likely will use this guitar for rocksmith 2014, is this small for kids? Or can Adults used this too |
Answer: | I'm a 5'8 male, and while the highest frets can be a bit crowded for me, I find it more enjoyable to play the lower frets than on my 25.5 inch scale schecter. Overall, it's a fun, fast, usable guitar at a great price. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this bass be tuned with the higher C instead of the lower B |
Answer: | Absolutely! But first let me clarify that the instrument itself doesn't have nothing to do with the tunning you want to achieve but the strings, i personaly preffer the lower B for depth in the low notes but if you want the high C instead id suggest to go to a string shop and get the propper strings for that (i very much doubt the strings that came with instrumemt are gonna let you strech from G to to C it eventualy will pop and it will put unnessesary stress to the arm)Bottom line...swap the string set that came with it (G D A E B) for a set (C G D A E ). |
Question: | Can this bass be detuned to play heavy metal |
Answer: | This is a short scale bass so you will need heavy gauge short scale strings. |
Question: | How floppy is the low/b string |
Answer: | Not bad at all. I have two higher end Carvin 5 strings and the Ibanez is no worse. For the money you can' beat it, plus it saves you back being much lighter. Great for practice. |
Question: | Does this come with a gig bag |
Answer: | At the time I purchased mine, it did not. I ordered a gig bag at the same time. |
