10 best guitar with solid alders
Alder is not commonly used as the primary wood for acoustic electric guitars, but it is frequently used in the construction of solid-body electric guitars. Solid alder is valued for its balanced tonal qualities, which offer a good combination of warmth and brightness.
Here are some key characteristics of alder in the context of solid-body electric guitars:
Tonewood Characteristics: Alder is known for producing a balanced tone with a strong midrange presence. It offers good sustain and a bright, clear sound. This makes it suitable for a wide range of music genres, from rock to blues and beyond.
Weight: Alder is relatively lightweight, which can contribute to the comfort of playing a guitar made from this wood. Guitarists often appreciate the balance between the guitar's weight and the tonal characteristics it produces.
Grain and Finish: Alder typically has a straight and fine grain pattern, which makes it easy to finish and paint. Many iconic electric guitar designs, like the Fender Stratocaster, are made from alder and are often associated with glossy or solid color finishes.
Versatility: Alder is versatile in terms of tone shaping. It responds well to various pickup configurations and electronics, allowing for a wide range of tones to be achieved. This versatility has contributed to its popularity in electric guitar construction.
Popularity: Alder has been a favored wood choice for electric guitar bodies for decades, especially in the production of vintage-style instruments. It's known for its classic, timeless sound.
It's worth noting that while alder is more commonly associated with electric guitars, many acoustic electric guitars also use it for certain components, such as the back and sides or even the neck, in combination with other tonewoods like spruce or mahogany. This can help achieve a particular balance of tonal qualities and playability.
In summary, while alder is not typically used as the primary wood for acoustic electric guitar soundboards, it is highly regarded in the construction of solid-body electric guitars, known for its balanced tonal qualities, lightweight properties, and versatility in shaping tones.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it work with Nylon strings |
Answer: | Indeed... nearly returned it due to that reason. But I came up with a strap that works well and that stabilizes the guitar. So I kept it and am happy now that I did. |
Question: | How do I get a manual for my guitar or at least a link to a manual? I requested one from traveler with no response |
Answer: | Yes, any electric guitar with a 1/4" jack will work. |
Question: | Is this guitar "comfortable" to play with? Can I rest my arm on the body of this for strumming? I can't with the Ultra-Lite - my arm starts to cramp |
Answer: | It is not Silent, but it is not a hollow body design so no sound resonates from the body. It is quieter than anything else you could play though, I would say it's great for practicing in the back seat without bothering the other occupants in the car. |
Question: | Is It silent when I put on the headphone? So I could practice without disturbing my family at mid-night. Thanks |
Answer: | Yes, it has pins that accommodate a standard strap. You can see where the pins attach on the backside views. The balance takes some getting used to, but it's probably more getting used to how little the whole thing weighs. |

Question: | Is this a japan import |
Answer: | We recommend the size of your photo to be 24x36 and the resolution should be 150 DPI. Hope this helps! |
Question: | What are the frets made out of stainless steel or a nickel compound |
Answer: | There are no guarantees that this will arrive by Christmas at this point. |
Question: | Is it made in the usa |
Answer: | More than likely you have scaled the print larger than the image size can support with out degrading the quality of the final product. if you are working on 11X14 on up it is best to get an image that is 2MB or larger. They can, at the present time, accept images up to 7 MB... the greater the image size the better chance you have to "hold the image" together. I usually send the 5-6.5MB images they come out beautifully. image density, contrast , and luminosity (noise reduction) have always been GREAT. |
Question: | Got mine today.. Is your tone knob much easier to turn than you volume knob like mine? Tone knob seems too loose. Thx |
Answer: | I was a little skeptical at first because it was a birthday gift but OH My GOSH the finished product is AMAZING!!! I will definitely be doing this again. you'll definitely be happy with the result. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Dose it come with amp or cord |
Answer: | It does not include an amp cord, no case, no picks, and no strap. I purchased an Orange CR20L 8" amp, I highly recommend. It's small but mighty and definitely better quality than the beginner/bundled amps from Fender or Peavey. Guitar straps for beginners are reasonable ($6-25). I play for my own pleasure...so I bought a guitar stand instead of a case. Have fun jamming! |
Question: | Does this guitar work with rock smith |
Answer: | Just about any electric guitar should do. |
Question: | is this full size |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Is this size okay for 8 year old? What else do I need to get him, like amp, cables, etc |
Answer: | This is a perfect guitar for an 8 year old. As far as beginner guitars go this one is one of the best I've come across. As far as amps and cables. Youd be good with going with a cheaper amp. A cheap beginner amp would be line 6. The spider 4 model is a good one. It certainly isn't top of the line but it lasts pretty well. The Cables are up to you. When i recieved the guitar it came with a cheap cable. I prefer live wire cables. The size is dependent on your preference. If you have a guitar center in your area the store near me offers live wire cables with a lifetime warranty included. So you can replace broken cables if you have to for free |

User questions & answers
Question: | How many peice body is this |
Answer: | All the pictures are approximately 11 3/4” x 8 1/3.” A 9” x12” frame with a mat would most likely do the trick but I would wait until you get the pictures before purchasing frames. |
Question: | Can you tell me the actual dimensions of the blank? I can't seem to find any information pertaining to that. Specifically the thickness |
Answer: | The photos are beautiful- the faces are all clear and sharp but some of the background colors appear uneven or "overexposed." Not sure if that was artistically intentional as it looks great - either way, the members make the posters worth it! I have some framed and on my wall :o) |
Question: | What is the measurements length-wide |
Answer: | Lo puede ordenar por Amazon. Usted escoge la foto y la alinea tambien. |
