Answer:	It's a great sounding guitar, but however that area where the neck joins to the body is quite thick. I try to keep my guitar in a climate controlled environment with out much temperature increases or decreases to prevent the wood from doing crazy things. I really haven't had to adjust it.

Answer:	There is no internal power source. It has a volume and a single tone control on the top side of the body.. I've plugged it into a bass amp and into a mic input of a house sound system. Was able to get the deep acoustic sound I was after.

Answer:	About the same volume as any acoustic guitar. One must remember that the extra thickness of the strings and the "bassness" of them causes them to be less piercing than treble strings. This is an ideal bass for dormitory or apartment dwellers. Amplified it has a richer tone than solid body electric basses.
Question:	is the top solid spruce or plywood
Answer:	I believe it to be spruce. It definitely isn't plywood.
Question:	Is this an adequate bass for a beginner? How close to an upright does it sound when plugged in
Answer:	I was a pro bassist for 22 years and bought this inexpensive bass for banging around as my other basses are way too nice for that. Being the type of bass this is I recommend taking off the factory strings and throwing them away. If you want an upright type sound use flatwound strings like D'Addario Chrome flats or their black nylon wound strings. You have to play very hard to get more volume but this bass should never have roundwounds on it. For the money, this is an OK bass and the tone is warm and round with the right strings on it.

Answer:	Honestly. Mine came fine except for two things. There is a very small Crack on the left side on the bottom of the neck. Didn't make a big deal out of it but the guitar is nice. The other thing is that there's a little connection problem on the switch with the neck pickup. I don't care. Much for the neck pick up. Check with the seller if they offer a mite secure delivery to your country because if it breaks they're going to have to reimburse you
