I'll tell you, someone is trying to be accommodating, oops maybe you drop and lose one of those little batteries, or maybe one of them is older than the other one or MAYBE, you just got lucky and got three good batteries!? The point being, these guys were being both accommodating and convenient so you can open the package and use it on the spot...... ok wait for it...... ahhhh. AND they, are probably one of a billion vendors that actually tried to plan to help you even beyond, YOU losing the battery, or YOU need to go get new ones. Answer:	Ordered Mine since October 2, 2016. Never had any issues. When you first load an sd card with lots of music it needs to process them, so it'll light up purple, which you have to wait for it to finish analyzing the tracks. After that it loads everything quickly and works beautifully

Answer:	A fast one! Also, note that there is a limit of 10,000 tracks, so dont bother with a gigantic card, it'll probably go to waste once you use the max track's req'd space.

Answer:	You can replace with any type of vinyl. But, you will need to drill 3 small holes that line up with the adapter that the 12s come with. Pretty easy to do though.

The Twelves will let you use your own vinyl also, and to avoid contact with the platter or damaging your vinyl by rubbing it on the platter, we highly recommend using a slipmat. Although you're technically listening to the audio from that vinyl, it just preserves the condition of the record you use and also will feel more authentic to a turntable DJ. Does the DS1 come with a full version of Serato DJ Pro and Serato DVS expansion pack?

The DS1 is Serato DJ and DVS Enabled, meaning that when connected it will automatically unlock and work as a DVS device for Serato DJ, without the need to purchase additional licenses. Serato DJ can be download directly from the Serato website and will unlock with the DS1 connected to the computer.

Please note:In order to use different hardware with Serato DJ, you may need to purchase additional licenses from Serato.

Do you require a mixer for the DS1?

Yes. You will need a mixer (any brand) with 2+ channels.

The blue LED on my unit is blinking, why?

If the LED is blinking, the unit is connected but it cannot recognize the drivers (Windows). Reinstall the drivers.



If the LED is on, the unit is working and drivers are recognized as normal.

In Serato DJ, what is the difference between ABS, REL and INT?

ABS stands for """"absolute"""" where the vinyl mimics real vinyl. Dropping the needle at the start of a record will cue the beginning of the track. Lift the needle and move it half way down the vinyl and you will go to mid-way through the track, just like real vinyl.

REL stands for """"relative"""" where the position you drop the needle on the record will cue to the relative position you are at in the track. Basically you can drop the needle anywhere and it will start the track from the beginning, lift the needle and drop it half way down the vinyl and it will play from the same place in the song you lifted it from.

INT stands for """"internal"""" where all track control is performed by keyboard shortcuts or midi input. The control vinyl do nothing.

When I connect my vinyl turntables to my DS1, I hear a consistent hum. How do I fix this?

It is very important that when you connect your turntables to your DS1, your connected correctly from your DJ mixer. Follow the following steps to correctly setup vinyl turntables with the DS1 and Serato.

1. Connect your vinyl turntables LEFTand RIGHT RCA's to the LEFTand RIGHT INPUTSon your DS1.
2. From your DS1, set your PHONO|CDswitch to PHONO.
3. Ground your turntables by either using your DJ mixers GNDor DS1's GND.
4. From your DJ mixer, connect the LEFTand RIGHT LINE INPUTSto your DS1's LEFTand RIGHT OUTPUTS. **Do not connect from your DJ mixers PHONO INPUTS.
5. That's it!

Can I record in Serato DJ with the DS1?

No not correctly. There is no Aux Input featured inside the interface and the audio is mixed externally in a DJ mixer, not in the Serato DJ software. You will have to connect a secondary output from your DJ mixer to a Line Input on your computer or use a recording device and software (DAW). This is a limitation to the interface and DJ software as the audio is mixed outside of both.

 Rubber MPC performance pads   give you quick access to hot cues, auto loop/roll, manual loop mode sampler and slicer. Each function duals-up with sub functions to give you access to a total of 16 velocity-sensitive pads.

• Hot Cue – Set 8 cue points within your DJ software. Secondary function (click button twice) enables hot cue + instant auto loop mode
• Auto/Roll - Pressing this button once will enter the auto looping mode (i.e. 16 bar, 8 bar, etc.). Secondary function (click button twice) enables beat-jumping once auto loop is engaged utilizing parameter keys
• Loop Mode – Activate manual loop mode and any saved loops. Secondary function (click button twice) enables a second bank of the Manual/Saved Loops section
• 8 Pad Sampler – Load custom sound samples such as tags and drops (non-velocity sensitive). Secondary function (click button twice) enables velocity sensitive pads in sampler mode
• Slicer – As the track is playing the pad will follow the beat, and when pad is engaged (rhythmically) beat will stutter per parameter. Secondary function (click button twice) will change the slicer into looping when pad is engaged temporarily.

Answer:	2.4 GHz is standard these days. I'm not sure if the scale will work with 5 GHz. If you have both enabled then the scale will pick whatever frequency it supports. 2.4 GHz will give you better range than 5 GHz.

Answer:	If you set it up for wifi then it will sync with Withing's servers automatically and the app will query the server to show your stats. If you set it up for bluetooth then you have to make sure bluetooth is ON for it to sync with the app.
Question:	Can this controller be used without the led light on the back? or do they stay on automatically if it is plugged in
Answer:	It’s white, and it’s very clear to read. I where glasses and I can see it without them on, which is an issue of mine.
