Answer:	Not sure what the stock and stud are like on the Savage Axis. I have this bipod and a couple of my buddies also on several different guns and models with synthetic stocks. Remington 700, Ruger M77 Winchester model 70. The only rifle stock we have had a problem with it fitting and staying on securely was an Smith&Wesson i bolt .270. It has a weird stock where the stud is it’s kind of recessed slightly and you couldn’t get the attachment point to secure correctly. I would think that if the bottom of the fore grip where your sling stud is on your stock, is flat, it should work fine.
