Question: | Does this headshell fit on a technics 1200 mkii |
Answer: | It should, but I recommend that you ask the manufacturer. This way if it doesn't fit he will send it back for a refund :) |

User questions & answers
Question: | Having difficulty understanding how the installation of this cartridge is different from the premounted the vessel a3se cartridge |
Answer: | A premounted cartridge is simply the cartridge already mounted, or physically connected, to a universal headshell, which in turn connects to a tonearm designed to be very easy to connect to. Mounting the cartridge is not particularly simple and the mounting screws are small, and may not fit your headshell. There are other audiophile issues, but go premounted if possible and save time and trouble |
Question: | Will this fit a Pioneer PL |
Answer: | I had no problem mounting this cartridge on the standard, 1/2" headshell ( my only problem was with the sound quality only). I do not own a Pioneer PL300, but I believe it is designed to operate with standard 1/2" headshells. I think it would be the best for you to ask for the assurance from the Seller. |
Question: | will this work with PL-3000? can i install myself |
Answer: | Dunno if works with pl 3000 , you can install it but its not easy you need special tool if you want to make it right also its not bad cartridge if your system is bright |
Question: | Does the cartridge include the stylus as pictured |
Answer: | yes, the stylus is included with the cartridge. it can easily be replaced with a similar stylus or upgraded to a more advanced stylus shape at a later time if the need arises. |

Question: | Will this work on a fisher MT-6224 turntable |
Answer: | I am continually getting the question as to whether this cartridge/head shell combination fits this or that turntable model. It is convenient that this cartridge is already mounted in its head shell and will fit most tone arms but there are exceptions. Particularly the Pioneer “P-mount.” All that being said: it is not a terribly difficult task to purchase a phono cartridge by itself and mount it to an existing head shell. |

Stereophile Class C Recommended Ortofon 2M Blue MM Phono Cartridge Features User-Replaceable Elliptical Diamond Stylus, Plays with Tonal Truthfulness The Stereophile Class C Recommended Ortofon 2M Blue is an upgrade from the Red. The 2M Blue uses the same structures but employs a highly polished nude-elliptical stylus for much better tracking and quieter reproduction, as it reaches deeper into the record’s grooves. The 2M Blue easily outperforms the older, more expensive and very popular OM-30 . The 2M series of cartridges feature Ortofon’s trademark split pole pins, an invention which enables moving magnet cartridges to have flat frequency response, just like a moving coil cartridge. Ortofon invented the Split pole pin technology and were originally offered in the 500 series and Super OM series. 2M series was developed in conjunction with Danish designer Møller Jensen Design – the same designer who designed the award winning MC Jubilee and very successful Kontrapunkt series. Inspired by the facets of a diamond, whose contours gracefully trace the grooves on a record’s surface, the 2M ’s handsome elegance establishes a great combination of form and functionality. 2M series is designed for precise and accurate retrieval of the information in the record groove. Ortofon' s philosophy is to make cartridges which reproduce the record grooves as accurately as possible, without coloring the sound. The 2M series design has been optimized for ease of mounting and their weight and size fit virtually any current turntable. “Superb transient articulation and dynamics.” — Stereophile , Class C Recommended Component "It's well-built, easy to install – thanks to its pre-threaded mounts – and, with a healthy output, offers a clear and open presentation with plenty of bite." — Hi-Fi Choice

History of the 2M Series
The 2M Series was developed in conjunction with the Danish designer Moeller Jensen Design. Inspired by the facets of a diamond, whose contours gracefully trace the grooves on a record’s surface, the 2M’s handsome elegance establishes a great combination of form and functionality.
Of course, the 2M isn’t just another pretty face. It has been engineered to the highest standards and is congruent with Ortofon’s unrelenting commitment to providing the most precise and accurate reproduction possible without coloration.
The name “2M” was chosen as it represents the abbreviation for moving magnet, MM.
The four-model 2M line was originally introduced in 2008, and since then the range has been extended to include True-mono models 2M MONO and 78. Also available are models with expanded mounting options, such as Verso for bottom mount headshells and PnP for direct mounting on arms with universal mount.
Advancements in Sound
The differences among the 2M variants concern three primary areas: engine, body material and stylus profile.
The entire 2M Series features Ortofon’s split pole pins, an invention which enables moving magnet cartridges to have a flat frequency response as with a moving coil cartridge. Split pole pins were invented by Ortofon and were originally presented in the 500 and Ortofon OM Super Series.
The 2M 78, 2M Mono, 2M Red and 2M Blue use an improved engine, which provides an optimized sound reproduction and a high level of sonic accuracy.
The 2M Bronze and 2M Black use a special upgraded engine, featuring split pole pins with a silver-plated copper wire. The cartridge body material used for the 2M Bronze and 2M Black is manufactured from Lexan DMX Piano Black, a revolutionary material which ensures high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances.
Product Of Denmark
Today Ortofon is a micro-mechanical powerhouse, which develops, manufactures and markets the world acclaimed Ortofon cartridges and components for the hearing aids industry.
We benefit from being established in Denmark, a country recognized for its strong tradition in acoustics and its wealth of other high-end manufacturers, who make hearing aids and acoustic measurement equipment, in addition to all aspects of high-end audio.
Ortofon is owned by Danish businessmen and employs a staff of 100 people. The Ortofon manufacturing unit in Nakskov in the south of Denmark has modern machinery combined with experienced operators, so human craftsmanship is delivered with uniform industrial quality.
Care of Stylus
With proper care we find that up to 1,000 hours is possible without degradation of performance. The stylus does begin to exhibit changes after 1,000 hours, but the stylus life as a whole is expected to top 2,000 hours.
Proper care is comprised of the following:
• Cleaning of record by means of fibre brush before and after every use. Cleaning of record by using record cleaning machine once in a while.
• Cleaning of stylus by means of a fine antistatic brush. Please remember to remove dust from the diamond tip before and after playback of each record. Use the brush in the forward direction from the rear of the cartridge towards the stylus tip, never from stylus tip to the rear of the cartridge and never from side to side.
• Proper adjustment of alignment, antiskating, azimuth and tracking force.
• Ortofon do not recommend the use of solvents of any kind for cleaning of either record surface or stylus.
Ease of Use
The weight and dimensions of the 2M Series have been optimized to fit the most common turntables on the market today. The cartridge body has also been streamlined to provide easy mounting and alignment. The 2M series features threaded holes that allows for easy mounting on tonearm and headshells without nuts. 2M cartridges provide excellent compatibility in an assortment of playback systems and with a wide variety of phono preamps
In the beginning was the sound track
On the 9th of October 1918, the two Danish engineers, Axel Petersen (1887-1971) and Arnold Poulsen (1889-1952) founded the Electrical Phono Film Company with a few capable and foresighted businessmen who would support the organization financially.
Their aim was to explore the possibility of high-class recording and developing one of the first synchronized sound film systems in the world. Under primitive conditions, the two Danish engineers and their small staff had to solve a number of what were considered insuperable problems.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will it work in a vertical position? I am restoring a Seeburg jukebox that plays 45's standing up rather than laying flat |
Answer: | Hi, This Neoteck Digital Turntable Stylus is used for Ensuring the Playback Result and Life of Your Valuable Records and Cartidge, it may not work in a vertical position, if you want it's value precise, it should be laying flat. Thanks for your asking.Neoteck |
Question: | Why does it come with three batteries? It takes two to operate, so one extra doesn't make much sense, does it |
Answer: | Here's a question! Why are you asking because in reality they didn't have to send you any batteries!! I'll tell you, someone is trying to be accommodating, oops maybe you drop and lose one of those little batteries, or maybe one of them is older than the other one or MAYBE, you just got lucky and got three good batteries!? The point being, these guys were being both accommodating and convenient so you can open the package and use it on the spot...... ok wait for it...... ahhhh. AND they, are probably one of a billion vendors that actually tried to plan to help you even beyond, YOU losing the battery, or YOU need to go get new ones. Because the drawing power is not very much from this unit, but when you start to notice it getting faint or doesn't turn on, I'm going to bet you that you'll be able to put that extra battery in and it will work again, you might just want to check it between the two that are dying! Lololol. Who knows..... maybe they put in 3 batteries so people will talk about them??! Oooooo those are the guys that give you 3 batteries and the unit only takes 2?! Lol 😉. Just having fun, it's funny because you read a comment or review and you think... hey I know what the answer is maybe I can help someone out, or maybe you just want to bust someone's balls!!! 😬🙄. But by the time you're done with all the typing and all the thought you put into it, you don't even know what the hell the whole idea of yourself thinking that you're going to make a point! |

Rega Bias 2 MM Phono Cartridge The Redesigned Rega Bias 2 Goes Where Other Budget Cartridges Don't The Rega Bias 2 may be the entry-level moving magnet cartridge in the Rega line, but this completely redesigned model is definitely on the very best moving magnet cartridges available for under $200. These advances have allowed Rega to use their innovative parallel wound coil in the Bias 2 .

Question: | Will i be able to switch out my at-95 with this vm95sh or vm95ml |
Answer: | Yes, if you mean AT-95E that comes with the AT120LP turntable with standard cheap conical tip needle. However, I have both the VM95SH and The VM95ML and would not recommend the VM95ML personally. Since purchasing the ATVM95SH I have not touched the VM95ML because it is more inclined to pick up scratches and does not have as smooth a sound. Note: it will take nearly 50 hours to break in the VM95SH, but it is worth it because the shibata needle is superior (Sorry, it does cost more. However, if you are talking about replacing only the stylus-needle with that of the AT-95 then the answer is no. The needles are different shape (and the AT95E is a cheaper/inferior cartridge...just the nature of it's being the cheapest one Audio Technica could get by with. Whatever you do, make sure you get a good alignment gauge for use with Audio-technica turntables. Don't trust that cheap alignment gauge they want to sell you from the factory. It just won't do it (and lots of patience, take 30 minutes to hour to align). |
Question: | How does this compare with a Denon DL |
Answer: | I have never used the a Denon cartridge so I'm sorry, but I don't know. But with a number like 110, I would assume this is a lower grade cartridge (3x7 mil needle probably). The Technics AT-VM95SH would be a great step up (Amazon isn't showing me which cartridge you are asking about so I am assuming here). I hear Denon cartridges are a bit warmer than Audio-Technica's. If you purchase it expect your records to sound a little more treble, closer to CD sounding, without the brash electonic sound of cd. |
Question: | will this fit Technics sl-10 linear tt |
Answer: | No. Linear tracking turntables only use a "P" mount cartridge (except one version of a Yamaha turntable). P-mounted cartridges have smaller pins and the cartridge slides right into the tonearm. All track at 2 grams (built in) and there isn't much out there for them. If you want the kind of quality you get from standard turntables you need to buy one with a standard cartridge mount. |
Question: | Can thise be used to replace the vm 95se on the at 120 turntable |
Answer: | Yes, it can. In fact, I replaced the VM95SE cartridge on my Audio-Technica turntable with an AT95SH cartridge. It was a significant upgrade in both tracking and sound. |
