Question:	How's the wood mallet
Answer:	It's not a big gong like you'd hear in "The King and I." It's a Chinese tam tam, 12" in diameter. It's made by Zildgian so you know it's sounds good. The attached video gives you the closest sound of the PO565 except it's pitched about a fifth higher than the one in the video. Answer:	Yes it does come with a mallet. The mallet and stand are as pictured. The string that holds the mallet on the hook is somewhat flimsy and I may replace it with leather at some point. This was a good purchase.

Question:	Does it make a sound
Answer:	They work great. I used a 1 oz, 2 oz, 4 oz because I was fishing ocean calico bass and I wanted it to sink deeper and they hit it on the way down. Wish they had more colors because I'm on west coast and the fish like a lighter shade of green with silver glitter in the plastics. I wish they were longer, so I could get bigger bass. I can't have everything.
