Answer:	this is a ride cymbal - it won;t have the faster decay of a crash -- maybe you want a crash-ride . depends on what you're looking for sound wise. so if you want to be able to get rapid distinct crash sounds you want a smaller-lighter cymbal. as cymbals get larger and heavier, they sustain and rapidly triking them will cuase them to wash and the individual hits will become blurred or obscured.

Answer:	no, go for the zildjian zbt 22 ride for only 129.00. beats this cymbal to death. Plus, I would not order a cymbal from amazon because they package extremely poorly, and I returned the one I tried to buy because of the poor packaging and the cymbal got a nasty "ding" on the edge when it was dropped. Never will I buy a "fragile" musical piece from amazon because of the poor packaging. last time was a drum head. was crushed because of poor packaging. Hope this helps.
