With it's classic design the Ibanez AS53 semi-hollowbody electric guitar gives you the comfort of a smaller body and modern sound for an amazing low price. The sapele top, back, and sides offer plenty of warmth and punch, and the mahogany neck is fast and comfy. While the AS53 looks like your typical semi-hollowbody guitar, its body is about the size of a traditional solid body guitar. Less bulk and weight make this guitar extremely comfortable to play. A pair of humbuckers can take your amplifier from sparkle to snarl in the blink of an eye. When you're on a budget and need a whole lotta bang for the buck, you won't be disappointed with the Ibanez AS53 semi-hollowbody electric guitar. Solid body players sometimes shy away from semi-hollowbody guitars due to the size even though they want the tone. The Ibanez AS53 crosses that barrier with a smaller body that is comfortable to solid body players, but is still a true semi-hollowbody guitar. Using the classic maple body and mahogany neck combination, the AS53 gives you the semi-hollow sound you want. No more having to get used to oversized and uncomfortable guitars for great tone. The Ibanez AS53 is the perfect culmination of tone and size. Ibanez designed the AS53's ACH-ST pickups to give you warm and well-balanced tone. They really bring out the depth and tonal complexity in the AS53's all sapele body. At the same time, ACH-ST pickups do an amazing job suppressing noise and reducing the feedback that tends to plague semi-hollowbody guitars.
- Sapele top, back, and sides
- Mahogany Neck
- Bound Rosewood Fingerboard
- Two ACH-ST open-coil humbuckers with ceramic magnets
- Master volume/tone

User questions & answers
Question: | Dose it come with amp or cord |
Answer: | It does not include an amp cord, no case, no picks, and no strap. I purchased an Orange CR20L 8" amp, I highly recommend. It's small but mighty and definitely better quality than the beginner/bundled amps from Fender or Peavey. Guitar straps for beginners are reasonable ($6-25). I play for my own pleasure...so I bought a guitar stand instead of a case. Have fun jamming! |
Question: | Does this guitar work with rock smith |
Answer: | Just about any electric guitar should do. |
Question: | is this full size |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Is this size okay for 8 year old? What else do I need to get him, like amp, cables, etc |
Answer: | This is a perfect guitar for an 8 year old. As far as beginner guitars go this one is one of the best I've come across. As far as amps and cables. Youd be good with going with a cheaper amp. A cheap beginner amp would be line 6. The spider 4 model is a good one. It certainly isn't top of the line but it lasts pretty well. The Cables are up to you. When i recieved the guitar it came with a cheap cable. I prefer live wire cables. The size is dependent on your preference. If you have a guitar center in your area the store near me offers live wire cables with a lifetime warranty included. So you can replace broken cables if you have to for free |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it comes with a bag |
Answer: | No, no bag included. |
Question: | is this guitar good for metal music |
Answer: | Actually this guitar seems best suited for Metal! The pickups are really clean when using a Metal pedal |
Question: | Does this guitar come with a strap |
Answer: | I don't think it does unless otherwise stated by the seller. I bought mine online. I came without a strap. |
Question: | does it have a tremolo to help keep it in tune |
Answer: | Tremolo's are often referred to as wawah bars, since they will induce a wawah into an existing sound. They are notorious for throwing a guitar out of tune. For the money this is a very good guitar. Even the tremolo is not bad. If you are able to spend another $50.00 you can get a locking tremolo that will help hold the guitars tune. You can also spend $10.00 and buy a good Snark tuner, which can stay attached to the head of the guitar. With the Snark you can retune your guitar in less than a minute. |

User questions & answers
Question: | When will this be available in another color |
Answer: | I personally love playing on G# (Ab) so I would definitely recommend getting string gauges 80-15 if you want to play on the same tuning I like but they’ll do just fine if you want to play on A. By the way if you like Meshuggah and know their songs you should buy string gauges 85-15 and tune super low on F and there you got yourself some serious metal mayhem. I hope I was able to help 🤘🏻 |
Question: | What are the recommended tuning limits? i would like to play things from b drop a to e standard. i can go without e stnd, i just want my low tunes |
Answer: | Yes it comes with strings. I bought for my fiance for his birthday as he is an avid guitar player, he absolutely loves it! He plays it all the time. |
Question: | Does it come with strings |
Answer: | Its a three way switch |
Question: | hello, is there coil splitting via 5 way switch |
Answer: | Nop |

Answer: | 42mm |
Question: | are the pickups bright, dark, or somewhere in the middle |

Answer: | Yes, this guitar comes with bag, strap and cable. |
Question: | Does this guitar come with a gig bag? Strap? Audio cable |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can i string it eadgc instead of beadg |
Answer: | You can put whatever strings/ tuning that you want, it may be a little sloppy though, as the nut is sized for the standard 5 string tuning with the low B string. Do not get this bass unless you have plans to replace the pickup as the stock one is garbage. I dropped an EMG active pickup in mine and it sounds great. Total cost after the pickup was about 320$ |
Question: | Does it come tuned |
Answer: | These bass guitars will likely need to be tuned after opening the package. Changes in humidity and temperature can affect the tuning and it will at least need some tuning out of the box. |
Question: | What is the tunning |
Answer: | From lowest string to highest, it is tuned B-E-A-D-G |
Question: | What is the tunning |
Answer: | A five-string bass adds a low B string in addition to the standard bass strings of E, A, D and G |
