Answer:	This is a standard size alto sax....fine for my 11 year old. If your 8 year old is small, it might be difficult to be easily able to reach all the keys.

Question:	Looking to buy this for my son trying out middle school band. The band director requires them to have a 5C mouthpiece, will a that size mouthpiece fit
Answer:	Yes the trumpet comes with a mouth piece. It's a very nice quality beginning instrument. My son is in band and has happily and successfully used this trumpet all year.
Question:	How should I wash it
Answer:	The first thought that pops into my head is the Olds "Mendez" model (named for the great Mexican trumpet virtuoso -- He is still considered by many to be the greatest trumpeter who ever lived), if you can find one that's in playable condition and is for sale. If that doesn't work out for you -- and you're still intent upon playing Mariachi music -- you'll want one with good wide, fast vibrato and reverb settings. (Just kidding about these last two, imaginary "features." In reality, you're looking more for a style of playing than a particular brand of trumpet. But do think about bore sizes for the lead pipe and mouthpieces you choose because these can either enhance or diminish the brilliance of tone you are likely seeking for your chosen musical genre or specialty). Good luck to you, because you're going to have a lot of competition -- Mexico has produced so many trumpet players that it's practically the national instrument (which, in fact, is officially the marimba).ADDITIONAL NOTE: I have read somewhere that the Olds "Mendez" was modeled on a 1936 Besson trumpet that Maestro Mendez played prior to the creation (by Olds) of his own signature model.

Answer:	I seem to recall from a book on symphonic orchestration that the volume of a trumpet is equivalent to that of about eight violins (or about a thousand violas, because these don't play very much). Another fun fact: Did you know that violas are not actually larger than violins? They just appear that way because the violists' heads are smaller. One of my sisters taught middle school orchestra. One of her favorite one-liners during sectional rehearsals was, "C'mon, second violins! If I hadn't wanted you to play, I'd have put you on viola!" (No doubt -- some smart-alec out there is going to tell you that the real difference between a violin and a viola is that the viola burns longer!)
Question:	compare this to a $3.000.00 trumpet what is different
Answer:	A) It's probably a better kit with which to start out than to finish.B) You probably won't sound like Herb Alpert for at least the first few weeks, but try to glean energy and motivation from inspiring examples wherever you might find them. ;-)C) For fat guys I would recommend Weight Watchers, bicycling, walking, and/or the gym. I don't think weight determines what instrument you should play, however. We're probably not going to remember such trumpet greats as Maynard Ferguson, Al Hirt, and Arturo Sandoval as "little guys." As long as it's not a threat to your overall health, a little heft can help a wind player as much as it does an opera singer.

Answer:	The valve guide is the white plastic piece on the valve. Inside the casings are notches that receive the valve guides and allow the valves to be depressed. The notches and guides are sized so that the valve can fit properly only in one orientation. Each piston has a number engraved on one side above the valve guide. This number helps ensure the valve is inserted in the proper hole and in the correct orientation. Answer:	I suppose the answer would be yes. I use it to clean my lamp which is made from a new alto saxophone. The sax is made of brass.

Answer:	I have same model sax (YAS-23) and this one didn't fit mine. However my saxphone is very old (30 years) and from Japan so I am not sure...I would recommend to go to the music store and find out which one would fit before you order.

Answer:	Yes, it’ll fit.
Question:	Would this fit a bundy II ? I dont want to buy it and have it not fit im new to this
Answer:	I ordered this for my Selmer Bundy II and it fit perfectly. You may have to put a slight bend in the register key on the neck, so that it contacts the body.
Question:	Will this fit an etude
Answer:	I’m not sure but if it doesn’t fit, you won’t get your money back in full. They will tell you it’s too expensive to bother shipping back to China and suggested I keep it or sell it to someone here. Extremely disappointed when it didn’t fit our sax and they wouldn’t refund our full money back. They were willing to refund $6! Not worth the hassle in case it doesn’t fit.

Answer:	It is brass. I find it very well put together but am also just learning and have nothing else to compare it too.

Question:	Is this brand made in China
Answer:	These saxophones are made in China, yes. I believe they are set up and tuned in Florida, USA.
Question:	How Heavy Is This
Answer:	I haven’t put the case with sax aboard on a scale but I find it is rather heavy. My case has wheels on it and it hasa telescoping handle like a suitcase. My problem is getting a replacement silver neck for the one that is badly corroded and pitted.
Question:	Does this come witb a 4 year warranty
Answer:	The video included with the listing states that it comes with a one year warranty for parts and labor.
Question:	May I ask - whether there are insttruments with white key buttons? I ask because as I see on photo - it looks like more cream pearl buttons
Answer:	Hard to answer this question, I think what you see is what they have. I preferred the pearl buttons I think it looks a little classier with them then just white.
