14 best merano full size violins
Merano is a brand that produces full-size violins, which are commonly used in orchestral settings and by violinists of all levels. While we can provide some general information about Merano full-size violins, please keep in mind that specific models and details may have changed over time, as my knowledge is based on information available .
Merano Violin Quality: Merano violins are often considered as budget-friendly or entry-level options for individuals who are just starting to learn the violin. They are typically designed to be affordable for beginners and students.
Materials: These violins are typically constructed using various types of wood, with spruce often used for the top plate and maple for the back, sides, and neck. The quality of the wood and craftsmanship may vary across different models.
Outfit: Merano full-size violins are often sold as outfits, which include not only the violin itself but also a bow, a case, and sometimes other accessories like rosin. This makes it convenient for beginners to have everything they need to get started.
Sound and Playability: The sound and playability of Merano violins can vary. While they may not offer the same level of tonal quality and playability as more expensive violins, they can be suitable for beginners who are just starting their musical journey.
Sizing: Full-size violins are typically suited for adult players and older teenagers. They are the largest standard size of violins and have a scale length of around 14 inches (356 mm).
Price Range: Merano violins are known for their affordability. They are generally priced lower than intermediate or professional-level violins, making them accessible to those on a budget.
Maintenance: Like all violins, Merano instruments require regular maintenance, including tuning, string replacement, and occasional setup adjustments, to ensure they perform at their best.
It's important to note that while Merano violins can be a cost-effective option for beginners, more advanced players or those seeking a higher level of tonal quality may eventually consider upgrading to a higher-end instrument. Additionally, the specific models and features of Merano violins can vary, so it's a good idea to try them out in person or consult with a music teacher or luthier for guidance when choosing a violin that suits your needs and preferences.

Answer: | 5 -7 yrs about 18"arm span 1/47-9yrs about 20"arm span 1/2 |
Question: | Can this be used as a fiddle |
Answer: | The bridge is the difference. A fiddle is a violin with a flatter bridge and a violin with a rounded bridge is played in the classic style and just called violin. Fiddle, as some mentioned is related to folk, country western, zydeco, bluegrass, folksy types of music. This is because the flatter bridge allows one to play chords more easily by making it easier to bow two or more strings at once. Whereas a standard violin with rounded bridge is easier to bow single notes as one would in an orchestral setting. |

Product features
Eastar EVA-3 Violin with learning Point Matte
Eastar EVA-3 violin is an innovative violin set, the innovative use of finger plates inlaid with muscovite can help students find the appropriate position.
There are two important points to note here:
1. The neck of the violin is white without paint, all of the neck of high-grade violins are not colored, otherwise the hands will sweat and slip when playing.
2. When tuning with the peg, press it inward slightly. Try to watch professional violin tuning teaching videos on relevant video websites.
How To Choose Violin Sizes
1. Violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest.
2.To measure what size violin best suits you. You need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm. The violin size determined by the neck/mid-palm approach would be the biggest size students should use.
Learning Finger Guide
Innovative use of finger plates inlaid with muscovite to help students quickly find the appropriate position to better master the violin playing skills.
Eliminate the energy and expense of buying fingerboard stickers, the board points are very clear, and there will be no reflection under the light.
Set a Bridge
The bridge should be left high and low right, and the bridge should coincide with the midpoint of the vi hole of the violin. When you follow the bridge, you must loosen the violin string. After placing the bridge in place, the string is inserted into the limit of the bridge, and the tuning can be used normally.
Come with Violin Tuner
Multifunctional digital display tuner with twelve even rhythms. The backlight feature tunes in at night as well. Simple and portable:
- Start the tuner, clip the tuner to the head of the violin and select Function V.
- The tuner backlight will show green when the tone is accurate.
Note: It is common for the string instuments that the state of new strings are unstable. It takes a few more tunings to stabilize the pitch.
Metal Fine Adjustment Knob
The function of the fine adjustment knob is to help the violinist to make parts for tuning.
- Loosen the adjustment knobA
- Adjust the violin neck knob to about 10 cents lower than the standard tone.P
- Press the top knob to fix the pitchG
- Gently tighten the knob until the pitch is exactly positionedA
- Adjust A D first and then adjust G E
Adjust a Chin Rest
You can adjust the tightness of the chin rest with a small screwdriver, or you can change the sapling of jujube or ebony according to your own style.
Rosin can increase the friction of the bow and strings to make the violin sound. Please use rosin before playing.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this vif 200A |
Answer: | I think this at this price is the BV250. If you look at the finish the 250 is high gloss varnish and the cheaper 200 is more of a matte/satin finish. The 250 looks to have better woods as well and may represent the first cut with the cheaper 200's as the pieces that didn't sound or look as good before finishing. I wish the seller would make clear the model number in the listing but perhaps they think that will make it look worse than eg Cecilio 300 level...it's probably better than Cecilio. |
Question: | is violin labeled inside |
Answer: | Yes it is |
Question: | Is there any warranty or quality guarantee on this |
Answer: | We provide a 30-day return policy and 90-day manufacturer warranty for our products so you do not have to worry about it. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Whats the difference between mv400 and the cvn |
Answer: | CVN-300 has better wood quality than MV400. The CVN-300 has a bright and vibrant tone that produces a clear and crisp sound. |
Question: | Are the bows prerosined? I want to use one as a practice bow |
Answer: | No. They are not prerosined--but it does come with the rosin for you to do yourself. |
Question: | Do you ship to the Philippines |
Answer: | We are sorry to tell you that we do not ship to Philippines. |
Question: | Does this violin come assembled |
Answer: | I am a luthier and my wife is a violin teacher. One of her students brought me this exact violin (MV400) to have set up work done. Here is a list of what needed to be done: Refit the bridge feet, thin bridge blank, carve out excess wood from bridge, lower bridge arch for proper string heights, fit pegs and re-drill peg holes, lower and reprofile nut and re-slot string grooves, new tailpiece (cheap tailpiece only lasted 2 weeks before fine tuners seized up), new strings (cheap strings sounded truly awful, and started fraying after 2 weeks), remove excess varnish from neck/ fingerboard joint and smooth, and finally a new soundpost. The fingerboard was adequate, and I left it alone. The instrument itself is not terrible, and the pegs and fingerboard were of reasonable quality, but the tailpiece and string quality and very inadequate setup will have you spending an additional $200-$300 and I haven't even mentioned the awful bow, crummy shoulder rest, and crummy rosin. The instrument sounds reasonably good now after all the work, though at the end of the day, you still have a $100 violin. You really get what you pay for. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I am beginning to learn the violin and just bought this one. I was wondering how to properly attach the shoulder rest that came with it |
Answer: | The shoulder rest goes on the back of the violin. The sides of the shoulder rest should pull straight out. Then tighten them back to fit the violin. Hope this helps |
Question: | how do you know what size violin to get |
Answer: | When you hold a violin your left hand should be able to reach the end of the finger board with a slight bend in the elbow. Or if you can't hold a violin to judge the fit and order online, like I did, 4/4 or full is normally for adults and as the sizes go down..2/4, 3/4, etc then they are for younger ages. Hope that helps a little |
Question: | Does this violin come with a blanket to separate it from the bow or is that bought separately |
Answer: | It does not come with a blanket. |
Question: | Is this one of the types of violins that is just sprayed over the top, or is it actually finished |
