Answer:	The dowel is the sound post and it is supposed to connect the top and the back of the cello it goes slightly behind and under the treble foot of the bridge and is held in place by the compression of the top by the strings. It must be in place for the instrument to work and so there is structural support under the treble foot take it to a luthier and he will set the post and tune the instrument.

Answer:	For a beginner or child, yes it is good. However, when it breaks or wears out it will likely not be fixable. At that point, you would want a better quality clarinet anyway. Also, I know a clarinet player who just likes having a red clarinet for fun. Professional players will say these are junk, and that may be true, but they are not meant to be played by professionals.

In small spaces (e.g., living room), people can hear you. For live performance, you need an amp. The better the amp, the more realistic it sounds. I use a Roland keyboard amp.

Answer:	sorry it took me long to answer it is about 10 to 15 pounds, its really light. I used to ride my bike, run, walk for 30 minutes to my practice sections and it wasn't heavy. Now the regular saxophone strap is for masochist, so just buy a neotech strap.
Question:	i am an adult looking to purchase this saxophone. does any adults have experience playing and living this instrument
Answer:	I recently bought this saxophone I'm 41 years old and a professional musician While there are better saxophones our there (including with a 10x price tag!) this saxophone is an excellent investment. The saxophone is a little full-bodies for me but aside from that it's wonderful. The only problem I have with this saxophone is the right hand palm keys are a little too far back for me. I have to completely readjust my hand every time I need to use tge palm keys to do a flutter or trill. Another problem is the left hand palm keys are quite sharp and dig into my hand at times when I use them. A word about the tone...it's very dark and full-bodied which for me is a problem as I prefer my alto to sing with fire and brilliance by the bucket load! I switch between an ARB metal 6 and a Vandoren Jumbo Java A45. While the time I get is nice I still don't get the bright tone or edginess that I get on my 1940s Evette Schaeffer. It's a wonderful saxophone for the money and should last for years to carry anyone well into their professional career (if that's what you're after).
Question:	Does it sound the same as a Yamaha saxophone or worst
Answer:	The Yamaha YAS 61 was supposed to be Yamaha`s first professional model saxophone. In my opinion the Yamaha YAS 61 sounds brighter and louder, but that`s with the Bamber jazz mouthpiece. That will make a difference. The Mendini was not far behind the Yamaha YAS 61 in sound though. I give the Yamaha YAS 61 a grade A for sound quality, and the Mendini Alto Saxophone a grade B to B+ for sound quality. Switching to a jazz mouthpiece on the Mendini does make it sound brighter. I like Lavoz reeds too. I have not found the most ideal mouthpiece just yet for the Mendini Sax. I haven`t had it long enough to know. Bamber mouthpieces are not for sale anymore, that is I can`t find them on the internet. Metalite M 5 is inexpensive on amazon.com and will make the Mendini Alto Saxophone louder. It will be short shank so will fit on the cork further out than the mouthpiece that comes with the saxophone. E. Rousseau JDX 6 is another jazz mouthpiece for a little more money. Right now I have been practicing with the mouthpiece that came with the Mendini saxophone with a Lavoz reed. Maybe a homemade metal piece inserted in the mouthpiece will make this mouthpiece play brighter. I think it has a fairly good tone quality with the Mendini mouthpiece. The Mendini alto saxophone has it`s own signature sound as other saxophones have as well. The Mendini alto saxophone is a little quieter and slightly less bright than the Yamaha, and not necessarily worse. Some saxophonist don`t always want that bright of a sound. I do though. Answer:	You cannot use an ordinary USB to micro cable. I had several USB to micro cables around and picked up the wrong one to try to sync my Harmony 665. The computer and the remote would not recognize the connector. Once I found the one that came with my remote, it worked. So the point is, always use a cable designed for a Harmony XXX, not a generic cable.
Question:	which trumpet do I buy for a Mexican banda
Answer:	It worked with the Harmony Touch model I have.

Answer:	From what I’ve read, this cable works with most of the Harmony units including the 880. However, it is my understanding that it works only for programming the 880 through Harmony‘s app. It does not work for charging the 880. Apparently that unit has replaceable batteries. I own a harmony elite and this cable is capable of charging that unit. Hope this answers your question.
