| Answer: | It’s slightly smaller but Very short compared to full size trumpet. With some patience you can find some mutes that will work. But, the Real problem with any of these low end horns is the valves- they “gall” very quickly, making horn useless unless you put very heavy valve springs in. Get one with good reviews on the valves, this Stagg did not. It’s a shame because it sounded surprisingly good for a little horn. |

| Answer: | Don't know, my best guess would be China. The weakness in this horn are the valves. I've had to stretch the valve springs twice now. It is also soft in the lower register and intonation is not as accurate as my full size horns, although that may be common with all compact horns. Having said that, it makes a great compact practice horn. I use a shilkie 22 mp, biggest mp I know of which makes this horn sound great, I would record with it. |

| Answer: | Robert, I don't know, seems like everything is made in China these days, but this horn seems to have little better fit and finish than most "low end" instruments. I absolutely love mine, it has a bigger sound than my other Chinese horn by far- think old Spanish "conquestidor" sound if that makes sense. But it's not as"heroic" sounding as my old Holton MF style horn. Please keep in mind I'm playing a schilke 24 mp, this thing is huge! But it makes ALL my horns sound great! Hope this helps. |

Not sure if you would want to invest in this since you are in the learning stage but a silent brass system is the best for quiet practice and still be able to hear yourself. They are on the expensive side though. |

| Answer: | 7c Which is a standard size for any student trumpet. I was used to using an 11c for an older strumpet that I bought ages ago. In that day the 11 c was standard. But, I do find the 7c has better range. The 11c seemed to be best for lower tones and not so easy for higher tones as I got better. I think the 7c is a better size. |

| Answer: | I would say no. The center of gravity is lower on the pocket and I keep this horn next to my stand just in case the a trumpet player does not show to a gig and it still gets knocked over a lot the only plus this stand has is it fits in the case well in the bell of the pocket. |

| Answer: | Not all standard trumpet mutes can be used with Mendini Bb Pocket Trumpet. The only mute that has worked for me is the "Bach Brass 1860" sold at Amazon.com for around $17.xx; the other standard mutes will not stay on the Pocket trumpet or the instrument does not sound muted! |
