Answer:	As a nurse, we used to wipe it down with an alcohol swab. Guess at home I would put some rubbing alcohol on a piece of paper towel to wipe it off...Just not soppy wet!

Answer:	I doubt it. It was a piece of junk. Seriously, a flimsy piece of plastic junk. It did not work and was sporadic in its readings. Sent it back as fast as possible.
