Answer:	This chair is 26.5 inches wide. That's important; it means the chair will just fit through a 30-inch bedroom or bathroom doorway. I use this chair to sit in at my desk during the day, and it will fit through doorways that my wheelchair can't -- even though the seat is the same size. That, friends and neighbors, is a blessing.

Answer:	The footrest is made of heavy plastic. The first time the footplate broke, I called the company and they replaced the part for free. In fact, they sent me 2 footplates. The footplate broke again, and now I am looking to replace them with metal ones.

They're almost always wider than interior doors.

Answer:	The seat doesn't come off to be washed but I think you can use a wipe to clean it. I use a washable seat chux for my mom to sit on due to incontinence leaks.

Answer:	I measured my chair for you, The overall width from edge of rear tires is 27", but there are small caps, at the center of the rear wheels that extend further, giving the total max. width at 28 1/2". In my house the chair just fits through the narrowest door at 29" wide.

Answer:	Yes, the seat is 22" wide at the maximum. The chair is 16" at the minimum and 18" at the center where the back forms a curve.

Answer:	My husband was 270 and it is very easy to push and lift to put in the trunk. The best chair I have found. I am 5"10, 170 so that is quite a difference from your size but like I said, it was the easiest one I found and I have been through a few.

Answer:	I assume you are wanting to make sure that the chair can go through a doorway when opened up. The width at the arms is 26 1/4 inches. The widest part is at the front wheels where the bolts stick out, and is 30 inches from side to side. If you are wanting the width of the seat, it is 22inches, but since the area under the arms is open, it allows for a wider girth without any pressure on the body. Hope this helps. I love mine! It is perfect and comfortable. I added a soft patio chair cushion to it for when I want to sit for longer periods of time, like a couple hours at church.

Answer:	I was troubled by the 15 lb claim also. When mine arrived, as I recall it was every bit of 40 to 45 lbs. Beautifully constructed but the weight was just too much for in and out of a car trunk. If not used for travel out of the home, it is outstanding. One last point, it is quite large and far more than my 100 lb wife needed to be comfortable.

Answer:	As Rita wrote, the seat pad is 19 inches wide. The width between the armrests at the narrowest is 16.5” which is 9.5” above the seat pad.

Answer:	This chair is about 28 inches outer wheel to outer wheel. I have very narrow doorways of 30 to 34 inches. I just make it though, but sometime knock my knuckles.

Question:	I need new arms for my chair. Whete can i get them? I looked at my local medical supply store a d they sent me here. Pls let me know
Answer:	It is widest at the handbrakes 23 1/4". If you fold down the handles it is 22 1/2". Fits easily through most modern doorways. You may be able to gain an inch by installing offset door hinges as I did in a mobile home with narrow doorways.

Answer:	Yes the footrests can be removed.We are impressed with the construction of the chair and the portability. I weigh 100 lbs and I easily get the chair in and out of car trunk to take my 180 lb spouse into his doctors' offices.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. This chair has rubber tippers built in. We are unsure if they are replaceable. It's very hard to see in these images but if you expand the image you can see in the back through the crossbar to the back of the chair on the bottom part of the frame.
