Answer:	Floating hinge, the 2 heating plates adjust to the thickness of food being cooked. One item of interest is that the 2 plates doesn't float far apart for real thick items like porterhouse steak cut 1 inch or more thick. Hamburgers and other meats work great, the heat seems to be fairly even but the food will burn quickly because there is no timer or heat control so you must watch vey carefully to keep from burning food. All in all it is a very good unit. My sugestin to the designers, design the floating 2 plates where they will float apart up to 11/2 or maybe 2 inches apart then would be ideal for thick steaks, steaks cooked on the unit are very tasty. Question:	It says padded seat, but you can't have the full seat on if you're trying to use the commode! Is the commode seat padded
Answer:	Just buy a step down transformer that will reduce your 220 to 110-115 and you will be good to go. Transformers are pretty cheap. I keep one or two with me for when I travel overseas
Question:	Is the metal on wheelchair aluminum
Answer:	No, they do not. If you read the small print in the description, it says, "this model includes ceramic grill plates, a bake dish, and a muffin pan." And that is exactly what mine came with. It also says that "additional plate types for the Evolve are available for purchase." And they are, at an extremely expensive price; the waffle plates alone cost about the same as an entire regular George Foreman Grill.
