Answer:	It is widest at the handbrakes 23 1/4". If you fold down the handles it is 22 1/2". Fits easily through most modern doorways. You may be able to gain an inch by installing offset door hinges as I did in a mobile home with narrow doorways.

Answer:	I am not sure of the weight. I don't believe it was over 15 lbs. Just one thing it works well on concert, smooth surfaces and pavement but not good in grass or thick carpet.It would work on carpet but it took much more effort. I hope this helps

Answer:	It's for taller people, I'm 5'7" and it's defiantly for taller for me. I use my Drive nitro much more often than this Carex. I use it for travel because its lighter weight than the Drive Nitro. It's nice but it much bigger longer so it's for a taller than 5'8". Probably for 6 footer or even taller.

Answer:	Yes, it still rolls when folded but not in a very straight line. The wheels tend to turn in when it is closed. If you don't close it completely, it would probably work for what you need. I roll it closed to my front door and then open it.

Answer:	Not knowing the dimensions of your shower it's hard to answer. I am using this in my combo tub/shower for my mother recovery from hip surgery. It's working well. I believe we have a standard size tub/shower combo.

Answer:	About 23 1/2 inches maximum height. All 4 legs adjust, allowing for uneven surfaces; also you can adjust height to facilitate water runoff into the tub versus onto the floor. The rail can be moved to either end of the bench. We have been very pleased with this item as an inexpensive way to adapt a standard bath to the needs of our elderly parent.

Question:	why can't this be used on a recliner
Answer:	My husband does use it on our recliner sofa. we put pillows on each side with the seat assist to the front so he has to line himself up with the seat assist. The foot lift can be used when sitting; however, must be retracted when he/she wants to rise. A soft recliner will tend to push the seat assist into the cushions, so my husband uses his quad walker to help him rise. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Maybe. I had a walker, but my bath near the bedroom was very narrow and I couldn’t fit it in front of me if I needed to sit. You position this on with the bar to your back and leave it there all the time. Works for me, but I can take a few steps on my own, but have difficulty standing back up due to some leg weakness. In my main bath, the walker is fine.

Question:	Will this work in a garden tub
Answer:	I have a whirlpool tub but i don't think it's a garden tub. However, I found the width of the tub and width of the tub rim must be considered. Also the depth of the tub. You'd want your feet to reach the tub floor.
Question:	Would this work with sliding glass doors installed on the bathtub? We would keep open during use
Answer:	There is not usually enough room to sit down and swing legs over the tub edge if the sliding doors are still in place. I think it would not be safe to use it with sliding doors.
Question:	Can you use this with a claw foot tub
Answer:	Yes. As long as it does not have an overly curved profile so it mightn't sit level. The bench braces against each inside lip of the tub so that it is stable and stays in place. But it is easily removed or loosened to reposition. It is very sturdy. I feared that the edge of my tub where it meets the tiled wall wouldn't offer enough ledge for the bench to rest upon but the way the bracing slides/adjusts made it work like a dream.
Question:	How much of a ledge does this item need on each side? That seems to be the only negative review issues
Answer:	It is adjustable on both sides but you definately need a tub with an ledge on both sides I knowome of the newer one piece tub wall combos only have a ledge on outside and the bench does not work with those but a standard bath tub has a ledge on both sides and it works great!
