Apply the brakes with the handle bar levers and while holding the brake lever, push one of the knobs on top of the brake levers down and it will lock the brakes on the wheels. Question:	How can you get the brake lock to work? I've tried to compress brake but cant seem to get the button depressed to lock the brakes
Answer:	It is very difficult to work the break lock for the first time. We had to depress the hand break as far as we could possibly get it and then push the break button. When it locks, it will click into place. It also works easier after the first couple of tries. We had to depress that hand break really hard (I was afraid it might break) before the lock would engage.
Question:	Will it free up my hands? The pics all show people with both hands on the handlebars. Can you steer it one handed
Answer:	I used it for 6 weeks after foot surgery. It is reasonably stable, but I would keep 2 hands on the steering wheel, because is you go around the corner sometimes it will stick a little if you are on carpet. That's why there is a basket so that you can take a phone, bottled water etc. with you. I would not ride the thing with a cup of coffee in my hand. I had people for that, but if you don't put it in a travel cup and in the basket.
Question:	how does this work in small spaces... ie getting in and out of small bathroom.... I live in carpeted apartment - good on carpet
Answer:	The turning radius is really good, but depending on the space in the bathroom, it may be difficult to manuever. The handle bars are narrow enough for tight spaces. If the sink sticks out a bit the handle bars may bump it. I used the scooter on hardwood floors, cement, and asphalt. It scoots very smoothly. As for carpet, I don't think it will be a problem unless its extremely thick carpet.
Question:	does the seat adjust can you sit on the seat
Answer:	The seat is adjustable, however it is not designed to be sat on. I tried that and it didn't really work too well. The problem is, there is no place to rest your feet. And I am assuming that if you re buying a knee wheeler it's because you can't walk on one foot (or leg). A little kid might be able to use it like a little rolling seat, but it is far too low to the ground for an adult.

Answer:	My mother in law is probably 110lbs and that’s the feature we like the best, she can use it like a walker until she gets tired then the strap gets turned the other way and we can push her. Always back into doorways and elevators it’s easier when using like a wheelchair.

Answer:	According to what I've been reading, I have seen the aluminum ones be as much as four lbs. lighter. Believe me, 17 lbs. is really heavy to fold and lift, for me, anyway. This was too much for me.

Answer:	I found it extremely hard to fold. May be I wasn't pulling on the handle correctly, but even my husband, who is usually good at that, couldn't do it. We had to push it over and over to make it fold. Very heavy and annoying. Because of that and the wobbly, noisy handlebars, I sent it back. Too bad, because it's great looking. Oh well.

Answer:	I have several months of experience on both types of pads, and I will tell you the flat ones are better, but a fuzzy 2" foam pad on top of a flat one is optimal. The knee-divot model tends to have a topographical logo in the middle of the divot, which ends up making an impression on your leg. It's not fun, or comfortable. I had to deal with that for the better part of 6 months. I've had this knee rover model for about 3 years now, I put a 2" fuzzy foam pad on it 2 months ago, and that's the most comfortable a scooter has been.

Question:	Just received mine today and there is a terrible squeak, like metal on metal. Can't really sure where the source is, best guess the back wheel break
Answer:	The only time I experienced any squeak was if the break was engaged. Otherwise there were no problems, just make sure the handle is tightly secured.

Answer:	The basket is removable. It has two vertical slots in the back of it that slide onto two upright "hooks" mounted on the steering column. The basket is quite sturdy and has enough room to place a macbook vertically. I added a rubber band connected to a piece of string across one corner of the basked which has proven very useful in holding a water bottle. We have a Honda Accord and the scooter with basket attached fits nicely in the trunk.
Question:	I'd rather have pneumatic tires but want the stability of 4 wheels. Has anybody switched out the tires themselves
Answer:	I've kept the original tires and it could use something to stabilize it. I have fallen when a tire got caught in a crack in the street. Overall it does the job. But I don't trust it.

He enjoys the seat, cup holder and storage compartment. It’s easy to fold by just lifting the seat. My 87 year old mother easily puts it in and out of the car for him. The company is reliable too. We had an issue and they quickly sent a replacement. Brakes are also easily adjusted. I feel it’s a great product and a good company to do business with. Good value.

Answer:	My answer is a flat NO. I bought it for my old mom. When I transport her around the house, she can rest her arms at chest level. She seems comfortably seated. For her it is quite perfect.

Answer:	Hello Charles,The seat is 14-1/2 inches wide X 13-1/2 deep; but there is clearance on the sides of the seat before you touch the bars on the sides, so the actual width space between the two vertical bars is about 17-1/2 inches. My husband is a big guy, about 230 pounds, and he fits without a problem. Hope this helps.

Question:	Is it noisy
Answer:	Not noisy at all. This walker is great. It glides smoothly over hard floors and rugs. It was so helpful after my foot surgery. Only 1 complaint..there are nuts & bolts holding the back wheels. If my good foot got too close to the back wheel, it scratched the inside of my ankle. I advise covering these little bolt endings with cotton balls & duct tape. Or be very aware of how close your good foot is to the wheel.
