If there is software that will allow you to program the 98 Explorer, then, that software plus this ELM unit and your programming simple modules with your PC. Answer:	Tires appear solid or gel filled. No valve stems. They are about 11 1/4” diameter - similar in size to other all terrain scooters. I think you may be able to find tires that are slightly wider but I haven’t seen any bigger in diameter. Good size for me at 5’-6”. May want one with bigger overall frame if taller

What is OBD-II?

Since 1996 standardized Onboard Diagnostic systems -- currently OBD-II -- have been mandated for virtually all cars and light trucks manufactured for the US market. Easy Installation with No Tools Required

ScanGaugeE installs in just minutes without tools and does not require batteries or an external power source. Simply plug the CAT-5 style end of the included cable into the back of the unit, and plug the opposite end, which terminates in an OBD-II connector, into your vehicle's OBD-II port. Virtually every vehicle manufactured since 1996 has an OBD-II port, usually located under the dashboard on the driver's side. Answer:	Yes, it plugs directly into the OBD port for both data and power. It keeps and totals the stats three ways: the current trip (until powered off), "today's" trips, and the "previous day's" trips. The "days" are reset after the engine has been powered off for about 8 - 10 hours, so if you stay in one place for 10+ hours or make a lot of trips only a few hours apart, it's possible the "days" won't represent true 24-hour periods. There is no manual reset or control over this feature, unfortunately, but it works well enough in "daily driver" conditions.

Answer:	The manual says it measures manifold absolute pressure. That would be less than or equal to atmospheric pressure on a normally aspirated engine or Manifold pressure which could be above atmospheric pressure on a turbocharged or supercharged engine. Higher pressures would indicate more boost.

Answer:	If I remember correctly, the ScanGauge II can show 4 parameters at one time, while the ScanGauge E shows only two. I know the Scangauge E has the mpg feature, which is very helpful. It shows instant mpg, as well as average mpg. I have been running my Scangauge E in my truck for quite some time now, and I love it. The features on it are very helpful. It also tells voltage, intake air temp, co2 emmisions, ignition timing, speed, coolant temp, throttle positioning, and quite a few others. I am not very familiar with the Scangauge II, so I am not sure if it gives all the same parameters. I hope this helps!

Answer:	Wheels are 1 1/2 in wide the front span of the front wheels is 16 inches, and yes it is easy to handle. And will go through doors easily. Fits in the back of the van very easily not very heavy.

Answer:	The handlebars fold down to make it more compact -- a little tricky the first time you try it, but easy when you figure out how. I can easily transport it in my Honda FIT when folded, but can even squeeze it into certain spots when handlebars are up. And yeah, I'm no spring chicken, pushing 65.
Question:	I see others have pads that seem to be molded to a leg while this one is flat without raised sides. Is it easy to keep your leg on the pad
Answer:	I have several months of experience on both types of pads, and I will tell you the flat ones are better, but a fuzzy 2" foam pad on top of a flat one is optimal. The knee-divot model tends to have a topographical logo in the middle of the divot, which ends up making an impression on your leg. It's not fun, or comfortable. I had to deal with that for the better part of 6 months. I've had this knee rover model for about 3 years now, I put a 2" fuzzy foam pad on it 2 months ago, and that's the most comfortable a scooter has been.
