Answer:	it may help, but it could make it harder for the patient to push themselves up if the rails are attached to the toilet itself and not the riser.

Question:	Will this work over current toilet seat
Answer:	suggestion; wash with bleach; then, donate to local Senior Citizen's Center or American Cancer Society that keeps similar items to loan or give to those in need, or even older relative or neighbor in need due to arthritis or surgery.
Question:	Will one be able to use toilet sprayer after fixing this
Answer:	5 inches high. It works fine on an elongated toilet. I have a large one and have used this riser for 5 months. It has about a 1 1/2 inch lip that fits inside the bowl. I placed each stick-on foam pad on each side of this lip. Some I cut in half to make them thicker for the sides and back. This stopped any movement. Keep them pressed on and after a week they stay stuck. I remove the riser and wipe with a piece of toilet paper after each use. Mainly just water. Works great.
Question:	Worked perfectly, can it be recycled or off to the dump it goes
Answer:	I can do it, but not without a problem. You only have a 9" hole If you scoot back so that you have enough room in the front, you end up making a mess in the back. If you scoot forward to keep from making a mess in the back, you will have trouble in the front. I truly do not understand this design. It is not man-friendly!
Question:	How height, and will it fit a elongated toilet
Answer:	No you don't have to remove the original toilet seat, but you do have to lift both the seat and cover to the raised position. You can then attach the Carex to the porcelain bowl and tighten the seat accordingly.

Question:	how high is the rizer itself
Answer:	This product can be used for 'most' toilets either standard or elongated. The locking mechanism in the front will secure it to the front of the bowl.
Question:	what is the weight limit
Answer:	Yes, at least mine does just fine on my American Standard 2 piece (2 piece only that the water tank is connected to the lower bowl and it is attached with two bolts and rubber seals to prevent leaking, which is pretty standard). It just pins the back of the plastic seat riser under the back lip of porcelain by twisting the knob on a plastic shaft with rubber on it, to wedge it solidly. It is IDENTICAL but much cheaper than the Vive.

Answer:	The range of "yes" and "no" answers is puzzling. Assembling consists of inserting the legs into the frame and bolting them on, using knobs, so it is easy to remove the legs. The next "step" is to open the sides and insert four "pins" to hold the sides in place. "Folding for easy portability" is accomplished by removing the four pins and folding the sides onto the back. The hard part would be not losing those pins, which are not essential, but should be used. So "YES", it does fold for portability, easy or otherwise.

Answer:	I didn't actually buy it to fit over a toilet, I bought is to have in the car when we went off-roading with my 93 year old mother. Not only did it make it easier for her, but it also made it easier for me (I'm age 66 with prosthetic hips). Answer:	If the flange is the hard plastic round thing that secures this item to the toilet, it is 1/2 inches and doesn't move when I sit down. I only have 1 leg and I lower myself from a walker. I feel very safe that this item won't move and send me toppling.

Remove Product from The Carton

Remove product from carton and Read All Instructions Carefully before attempting to install product.

Assemble The Handles

• Place one handle at a time into the tubes on the raised toilet seat.
• To remove the handles depress the brass buttons while pulling out on the handles.

Note: Handles are marked for right and left.

Remove the Existing Toilet Seat

• Remove existing toilet seat and lid from toilet.

Note: For most toilets you will need to reach behind and underneath toilet to unscrew the nut while holding screw with screwdriver (not included).

Add the Seat Elevator

• Position toilet seat elevator on rim of toilet bowl and center.
• Place original toilet seat and lid on top of toilet seat elevator with holes lined up.
• Use screws provided to attach original seat, lid and toilet seat elevator to bowl. Secure with nuts provided.
• Check for secure fit routinely before using product.

Note: User’s weight should be centered over toilet seat.

Answer:	My dad's toilet is elongated and it fits fine
Question:	How long does this item take to ship? I need it pretty quick
Answer:	The cleaning instructions tell the user to wipe it, not immerse it in water. I don't believe this was designed to be waterproof. My opinion is that it would not be a good choice for a shower chair because of the stitching. The water would probably leak through.

Answer:	Helloo - Thank you for your question We would not recommend combining these two items as there is no way to fasten/mount one to another.

Answer:	I don’t have it any longer, but I do remember it flattening. So, I would say there is air relief hole. I hope that helps.
