Answer:	I don't know, but it is sufficient. The more important question is how the seat will fit on the the rim of the toilet. I had to add "buffers" so that the fit was snug. I used pieces of PVC pipe that I screwed to the seat until it did not slip side to side or front to back. The seat has built in connections so it can be attached to the toilet, but I preferred doing it with the "buffers". In general I was satisfied with this item. The long bolts for the seat riser are designed to pass through the seat hinge, and if you have a new "click to connect" or "flip to lock" seat hinge, it will not work. You must use a old style seat hinge set up that has bolt holes in it. I end up using a seat assembly with a plastic hinge to make it easier to drill out the bolt hole to accommodate the large lag bolts that are supplied with the Vive seat riser assembly. If you have an older seat set up, it will probably work just fine, but if you have a modern seat with the quick disconnect feature, it will not work. All that said, even with having to get a new cheap $19.95 toilet seat to go with this , it only took about 15 minutes to install, and once installed, it is quite sturdy.

Answer:	This chair does NOT fold. You can easily dissemble, but not just fold it up and go. The directions also do not give instruction to fold it up. I would return this but will not because it looks like a very good toilet riser, just wish it did for for travel.

Answer:	As I recall 350 to 400 lbs. I weigh, do I dare say, 265 and it’s of a safe, solid, secure construction. No worry.
