Answer:	The cleaning instructions tell the user to wipe it, not immerse it in water. I don't believe this was designed to be waterproof. My opinion is that it would not be a good choice for a shower chair because of the stitching. The water would probably leak through.

Answer:	This product can be used for 'most' toilets either standard or elongated. The locking mechanism in the front will secure it to the front of the bowl.

Answer:	Yes, at least mine does just fine on my American Standard 2 piece (2 piece only that the water tank is connected to the lower bowl and it is attached with two bolts and rubber seals to prevent leaking, which is pretty standard). It just pins the back of the plastic seat riser under the back lip of porcelain by twisting the knob on a plastic shaft with rubber on it, to wedge it solidly. It is IDENTICAL but much cheaper than the Vive.

Answer:	Once you put the regular toilet seat on top, you put in the long screw and tighten it beneath the toilet bowl. It takes a little maneuvering but I got it on very securely and it seems to be locked.

Answer:	Take off present seat, included in new seat are two long bolts that go into the two holes in toilet bowl. Very simple operation, attached nuts to bolts and tighten screws, after a day or two of use, retighten bolts.

Answer:	It bolts into the toilet where the seat normally bolts in. I bought it for my Mom, and it seems that my BIL had to drill out the holes in the toilet bigger to accommodate the hardware for this. Now a regular seat can no longer go back on that toilet. Answer:	I wouldn't say, "easily" but it is not too difficult albeit a bit of a nuisance. You have to take off your toilet seat in order to put on the elevated seat. If it wobbles you might want to use some heavy duty Velcro to anchor it more firmly. All in all it is not very difficult but you have to reverse the process in order to remove it.

Answer:	5 inches high. It works fine on an elongated toilet. I have a large one and have used this riser for 5 months. It has about a 1 1/2 inch lip that fits inside the bowl. I placed each stick-on foam pad on each side of this lip. Some I cut in half to make them thicker for the sides and back. This stopped any movement. Keep them pressed on and after a week they stay stuck. I remove the riser and wipe with a piece of toilet paper after each use. Mainly just water. Works great.
Question:	Worked perfectly, can it be recycled or off to the dump it goes
Answer:	I can do it, but not without a problem. You only have a 9" hole If you scoot back so that you have enough room in the front, you end up making a mess in the back. If you scoot forward to keep from making a mess in the back, you will have trouble in the front. I truly do not understand this design. It is not man-friendly!

Answer:	Yes, it fit a moderately elongated toilet. However, it is to be bolted on in place of the standard seat. Not very stable- I had to modify it to make it safe for my wife. Better alternatives out there.

Answer:	Mine does not have arms. I bought separate arms that are height adjustable. The hinged riser is best because it is easier to clean and men who stand to pee can use the toilet.

Don't be afraid of using (x2) risers together to increase the seat height. You can buy an 8' or 10 bolt if needed to affix the risers, seat and cover to the toilet. I bought plastic wrap used for shipping to joi9n the two risers together by wrapping completely around then several times so that urine can not get between the risers. I am using now and it works great. I wish I could have found someone to recommend this but instead I had to conceptualize solution myself. Glad I did. Answer:	Less - width is 13 3/4" from side to side as it sits on top of toilet bowl. Including arms width is 21 1/4" wide. Hope this helps.

Answer:	If my memory is correct it has no latch on the lip. What it has is long bolts that go through the back and your seat sits on top. I sent mine back. Not because of that because it was too high for my mother

Answer:	While the paper work and the website say that you can use your existing seat and cover assembly, that is only "kind of" true. The long bolts for the seat riser are designed to pass through the seat hinge, and if you have a new "click to connect" or "flip to lock" seat hinge, it will not work. You must use a old style seat hinge set up that has bolt holes in it. I end up using a seat assembly with a plastic hinge to make it easier to drill out the bolt hole to accommodate the large lag bolts that are supplied with the Vive seat riser assembly. If you have an older seat set up, it will probably work just fine, but if you have a modern seat with the quick disconnect feature, it will not work. All that said, even with having to get a new cheap $19.95 toilet seat to go with this , it only took about 15 minutes to install, and once installed, it is quite sturdy.
