Answer:	Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.

Answer:	No. The lock itself works over Bluetooth which has an effective range in a house of perhaps 40 ft. The Augusy Connect connects to the August service via your home wifi and then uses the lock's Bluetooth connection--in short, it's extending the range from ~40 ft to Internet-infinite; in theory, if both you and your house have an Internet connection, you can open the lock from anywhere in the world. If you only care to open the lock when you or someone else authorized is stood in front of it, then the lock alone is enough. That said, I'm on my 3rd August Connect and it's also beginning to misbehave disconnecting at random--don't buy the Connect if the lock alone meets your needs.

Answer:	It says 110 - 240v 50hz - 60hz.
Question:	Do you need to have August Connect to be able to use August Smart Lock? If not, what does it do that Smart Lock doesn't
Answer:	The August lock by itself opens via blue tooth. Meaning you need to be within 15-30 feet. The connect makes it wifi, but it's buggy at best. The device connects to the lock via Bluetooth, and then you connect to the device via wifi. It works 1% of the time for me. Wait for an update.

Answer:	No it is not the same. The 70-190 super felt seems to be thicker. I actually went to my local supply store and bought Roberts blackjack to supplement it. It's very thin stuff. Save your money.

Answer:	It helps tremendously. You will still get the typical hollowing sound from a floating floor buts its definitely muted. And in comparison to your standard grade padding? Its about a 70% improvement. Well worth the upgrade.

Answer:	Yes. The purpose of the underlayment is two fold: insulation from sound and thermal barrier. You do not want to have cold feet from the basement coming up, and you do not want to have the sounds of clicks of heels (especially high heels) echoing through the house. I see no problem in providing an extra layer of protection for the vinyl because by nature, vinyl is soft.The best thing to do is to see what your vinyl floor manufacturer recommends, because you do not want to void any warranty

Answer:	Same discovery as Howard stated above. The current software in these cams, it doesn't not appear on my Windows 10 Ring app on my computer. It appears fine on my Android phone, but I pretty much do everything on my computer. I'm at work at home Cybersecurity engineer, so I like to see everything on my computer. I have 2 spotlight cams (over garage and one over the backyard) 2 of these indoor cams in my house (1st floor) and the Ring doorbell. I can see everything but the indoor cams that cover my 1st floor of the house. I have read via threads and forums though that the software is going to update this year sometime and they will eventually appear in the Windows 10 app on your computer systems, so that is a plus. The Ring devices check for updates themselves over your wifi network, so I'm assuming they will update themselves at one point and they will appear on my Windows 10 app one day soon. I'm hoping...it's one of the main reasons I got these. I want to be able to monitor and check on my three dogs on the first floor of the house, while I'm working in my office on the second floor.

Question:	Will the extended wi-fi be available for other (non-ring) devices? or am i better off just getting a wi-fi extender
Answer:	No it only works for other ring devices. I’m not pleased about that when the device name says Wi-Fi extender. Just found out the hard way I need to buy another device for Netflix to play in the bedroom.

Question:	Does it play a different sound for each ring doorbell? The old chime would not. Does the new one
Answer:	AFAIK you need to buy two in order to get a chime for each doorbell then link them separately to each ring. Then you have to change the tone for both doorbells to get a unique sound for each door.
Question:	Does this chime work only when the button is pushed on the doorbell device
Answer:	You can also set it up to make a chime when it detects motion. I usually have this setting turned off so it only chimes when someone pushes the button.
Question:	How long does this new chime work? i have 2 chimes & a chime pro. only one works. the others flash & will not connect or just doesn't work at all
Answer:	Mine also quit working after 2-2.5 years! Do these things come with a warranty? I would also like to know how long this one lasts. It's ridiculous if I have to buy one of these every 2.5 years! C'mon Ring, improve your chime quality!
