Answer:	The thermal imager detects the temperature difference to display the temperature difference. The 3.5" cement will isolate the heat, and the camera cannot penetrate the cement to measure the temperature difference.
Question:	Will this camera detect body heat like a normal thermal imager, for like say....finding missing victims
Answer:	Like all informed experts will tell you "It Depends". Infrared imagers show differential temperature, so the "environment" has to be a different temperature than the human body. If its 98.6 degrees out, or if the "Victim" has cooled down to ambient, you aren't going to see squat.
Question:	Does this model have or is there a model with hdvr? still images are great, however video is best. would really like to try this for this old house

Question:	Is there any way to have this device stream or record a series of photos or video so it could be used on a drone. A Flir to do this is $2500 and up
Answer:	This HT-A2 camera can only make screen capture photo with resolution of 320x240 from a push button and no video recording function. There is also no wifi or wireless connection to remotely operate the camera from a drone. To be able to do what you expect you need data connection from the camera to your drone and then from your drone to your remote control unit which can communicate at long distance with the drone. Wifi connection directly from the camera to a standard mobile device may not work if the distance is too far unless you build a special wifi tower. You may study a cheaper than Flir wifi verson Seek Shot Pro thermal camera from Thermal.com but it is surely a bit more expensive than this one.
Question:	Hi, Can this be used to check for refrigerant leaks
Answer:	It can be used to detect air leaks. Refrigerant restriction could be detected, leeks probably could be detected, if they substantial enough to cool the escape spot (compressor must be turned off).
Question:	Would this detect rodents, squirrels, etc... in an attic through the ceiling and insulation
Answer:	the only way that they will be detected is if the heat of the animal/rodent warms-up the ceiling and the rodent/animal must stay in the same position long enough to heat up the ceiling, then you will see the temperature difference when viewing - its better to use the device inside the attic, then you will see the rodent/animal much better provided the rodent/animal is not under any surfaces that will block the heat signature.
Question:	Does this show the visible image and the thermal image at the same time? flir calls it "msx" or "picture-in-picture
Answer:	Yes, it shows thermal image and visible image at the same time if you select so. Unlike flir's highlighted edge images, this device shows visible images like a regular digital camera. Thermal and visible spectrum images could be combined (superimposed) and saved in 0/100%, 25/75%, 50/50% and 75/25% ratios.

Works great, especially for comparing small differences in temperature from one surface to another... like heat or cooling losses through house, heat gain inside home in summer with sun heat. I have the micro SD camera and new Samsung has S connector so need adapter: MUST be special adapter cable not the cheapest one. Some micro/S fail to send all communications through.

So, when I use it to find water leaks in the walls or ceilings I have to change the temp in the house by a degree or 2 and it shines like Christmas. Under the floor, underground, etc. I think that's asking too much of $400 IR even when one like this is outperform they're price.

Answer:	if the mole hides in the hole in daytime ,the infrared camera cannot detect them ,because the thermal imager cant measure the temp of the mole through the soil , once they come out to destroy the plants in night ,it will be detected immediately .
Question:	How well will this detect critters in walls or attics, such as snakes or mice
Answer:	Not at all. Unfortunately it will not image like an X-ray. It will image based on what it reads as the surface temperature and radiated heat. A critter wouldn’t generate enough heat to go through drywall let alone wood or brick/mortar.
Question:	just curious, since this is obviously infrared...what would it be used most for , for most people
Answer:	Although it can't see through glass or walls, it can detect heated areas and give you a heads up on electrical shorts, water leaks, etc. It also comes in handy to locate a lost pet who snuck outside when you weren't looking. Shows heat leaks from home when used outdoors
