13 best fluke thermals
Fluke Corporation is a well-known company in the field of test and measurement instruments, including thermal imagers. Fluke thermals, often referred to as Fluke thermal imagers or Fluke infrared cameras, are a range of thermal imaging devices used for various industrial and scientific applications. These devices are designed to capture and visualize temperature variations in an object or scene by detecting infrared radiation.
Key features and applications of Fluke thermals include:
Temperature Measurement: Fluke thermal imagers are primarily used for non-contact temperature measurement. They can accurately measure the temperature of objects or surfaces in a wide temperature range.
Thermal Imaging: These devices use infrared technology to create thermal images or thermal maps of an area. These images show variations in temperature through different colors or shades, allowing users to identify hotspots, temperature anomalies, and potential issues in equipment or systems.
Industrial Inspections: Fluke thermals are commonly used in industrial settings for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control. They can help identify overheating components, electrical faults, and insulation problems in machinery, electrical systems, and pipelines.
Building Diagnostics: In the construction and building inspection industry, Fluke thermal imagers are used to detect thermal leaks, insulation deficiencies, and moisture intrusion in walls, roofs, and HVAC systems. This helps improve energy efficiency and identify potential structural issues.
Research and Scientific Applications: Fluke thermals are also employed in scientific research, such as monitoring environmental conditions, studying animal behavior, and conducting experiments that require precise temperature measurement.
Hazardous Environments: Some Fluke thermal imagers are designed to be rugged and suitable for use in harsh or hazardous environments, such as in petrochemical plants or manufacturing facilities.
Data Analysis: Fluke's thermal imaging software allows users to analyze and report on captured thermal images, enabling informed decision-making and record-keeping.
Fluke Corporation is known for producing reliable and high-quality test and measurement equipment, and their thermal imagers are no exception. These devices are commonly used by professionals in various industries to ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of equipment and processes.
Please note that the specific models, features, and applications of Fluke thermals may evolve over time, so it's advisable to refer to Fluke's official website or product documentation for the most up-to-date information.

User questions & answers
Question: | can this product detect heat loss thru concrete |
Answer: | This is the most confusing part of the manual (since its all pictograms w/o any text describing it). What the trig setting (on or off) does: If set to "on" then the unit will, if the trigger is held in for 10+ minutes, shut off after 10 minutes. No effect on normal usage. The normal operation is press trigger, let go, read the display... 5-6 seconds later the unit shuts off. But if you toss it in your tool bag, pocket, etc and happen to depress the trigger and it stays that way, it will shut off after 10 minutes - to save battery life. I'd have like to seen a configurable time, or a smaller time - 10 minutes seems excessive. Anything over a minute seems excessive to me. |
Question: | I lost the wire attachment from my gun; can I still get an accurate room temperature reading without using the wire probe or laser sight |
Answer: | Fluke's web site shows that the Max+ is better in every respect except battery life with laser and backlight on (10 vs. 8 hours) but Amazon inverted the prices today so there's no trade-off to make:Top-end: 500 versus 650 °CAccuracy above 0 °C: greater of ±1.5 °C or ±1.5% versus greater of ±1.0 °C or ±1.0%Response Time: Optical Resolution: 10:1 versus 12:1Repeatability: greater of ±0.8% of reading or For my uses measuring attic temperatures, fry pans, fuse boxes, computer chips, hard drives and compact florescent bulb ballasts that seem to get hot before failing, either model would be fine. I hope that getting a Fluke means that this will tolerate static electricity and drops better and maintain accuracy as the battery wears down or the sensor ages so the specs actually mean something. |
Question: | does this unit come with a case? hard plastic or pouch |
Answer: | According to the manufacture's website the Max Plus can be manually adjusted for emissivity in a range from 0.1 to 1.00 |
Question: | Where's the country of origin |
Answer: | In the battery compartment of my Fluke 62 MAX+, it states that the unit was made in China in June 2012. Hope this helps. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will the ir3000 fc attached to a meter allow communications to the pc3000 fc pc adaptor |
Answer: | I dont think so. It seams o be a reciever only. |
Question: | Can you download previously logged data from a fluke |
Answer: | No. I own both the 289 and tried this exact thing - only live data can be captured with a 10 minute app limit on FlukeConnect app. Other models with FC built-in support previous capture data download, this unit for whatever reason does not and this need was brought up 4 years ago on the Fluke website, yet it has fallen on deaf ears at Fluke. |
Question: | Will this work with Fluke |
Answer: | I doubt it. The meter needs a optical connection at the top that the connect latches on to. |
Question: | Will this product work with a Fluke |
Answer: | F789 sends directly via Bluetooth to the device that has Fluke connect app installed. IR3000 is useless for that meter |
