An LED indicates the On/Off status of the output relay. The A421 control is 120 VAC. Answer:	Press the menu button 1 time, OFF will appear. Then press the up arrow 1 time to move to ON. Then press menu button 1 time and use arrow buttons to set desired temp. Press menu button to save new setting. You must push menu button after adjusting to save new setting

Question:	Is there a backup incase of power failure to remember the program temp setting?. Will I have to re program the unit when power is restored
Answer:	I have had many power failures but I never had to re-program this unit. I am not sure how it does but does remember settings. Please note the Power failures we have seen here only lasted a few hours maximum. I have to reset all radio-clocks that is how I notice power failures...

Answer:	Amazon ASIN B000E7NYY8 is a better unit for controlling an A/C. You can adjust the temperature swing.
Question:	Can the control be used on a frost free freezer as a refrigerator or should the freezer be manual defrost
Answer:	I have been using using it with a frost free freezer converted into a kegerator for the last two years without incident. Many others are successfully doing so. If you have a particular concern, you can try contacting the freezer manufacturer. However, it is not a significant concern to me. Theoretically, a manual defrost might allow slightly more consistent or precise temperature regulation by avoiding defrost cycles, but I have yet to meet anyone for whom that is of any actual significance.

Answer:	This is the TA4-SSR. It has two SSR outputs and 1 alarm output. If you don't use the Second SSR output, it can be used as an alarms port also. The TA4-SNR has 1 SSR output and 1 Alarm output only. You want to make sure the listing says TA4-SSR or TA4-SNR somewhere so you know its what you want because they do make a TA4-RNR which has a relay output and wont run and SSR.
