A hitting net for volleyball is a piece of training equipment designed to aid players in improving their hitting and spiking skills. It provides a target for players to practice their hits, serves, and spikes with precision and accuracy. Here's what you should know about hitting nets for volleyball:
Design and Construction: Hitting nets for volleyball are typically made of durable materials such as nylon or polyester. They are designed to withstand the impact of volleyball hits and serves. The net is suspended horizontally at an appropriate height to simulate the position of a net during a game.
Height and Dimensions: The height of the hitting net is usually adjustable to accommodate various skill levels and age groups. The standard height for men's volleyball nets is 7 feet 11 5/8 inches (2.43 meters), and for women, it's 7 feet 4 1/8 inches (2.24 meters). The width is standardized at 29 feet 6 inches (9 meters) for both men's and women's nets.
Usage and Benefits: Hitting nets are used during training sessions to help players improve their hitting techniques, accuracy, and power. They allow players to practice hitting the ball over the net, aiming for specific areas, and improving their timing and form.
Target Practice: The hitting net provides a visible target, encouraging players to focus their hits and serves with precision. This is particularly beneficial for spikers and servers who need to target specific areas of the opposing team's court during a game.
Adjustable Tension: Some hitting nets come with adjustable tension settings, allowing players to set the desired level of tautness for the net. This feature can simulate different game situations and help players adapt to varying net tensions.
Portability and Set-Up: Many hitting nets are designed to be portable and easy to set up. They often come with a lightweight frame that can be assembled and disassembled quickly, making them convenient for practice sessions at different locations.
Versatility: Hitting nets can be used for both indoor and outdoor training sessions, making them versatile training tools. They are suitable for use in gyms, training facilities, or even in the backyard.
In summary, a hitting net for volleyball is a valuable training tool that helps volleyball players improve their hitting skills by providing a target for accurate and precise hits, serves, and spikes. The adjustability, durability, and portability of these nets make them a popular choice for players looking to enhance their game.

Product Description: What do your fish swim in? A TDS meter (aka ppm pen, nutrient tester, salt tester) is an inexpensive and convenient digital tool to instantly check your overall water quality. TDS = Total Dissolved Solids, which is any salt, metal or mineral in the water. The TDS-4TMA uses the NaCl conversion factor, so it can also be used for testing salt levels. With the push of a button, the TDS-4TMA can tell you your overall water purity level, which will be displayed on the screen in ppm (parts per million). 100 ppm = 0.01%. The lower the TDS level, the purer the water, with 0 ppm being pure H2O. The TDS-4TMA is great for checking your freshwater aquarium, koi pond or water filtration/purification system, such as reverse osmosis (RO) or deionization (DI). (The meter does not test for biological contaminants.)
- TDS meter for checking TDS/salt (NaCl) levels freshwater aquariums, ponds and water purification systems.

User questions & answers
Question: | can the battery be replaced? if so, what battery does it take |
Answer: | Yes, the batteries can be replaced. It takes 2 LR44G "button cell" batteries like the batteries that go in watches, ect. The unit has an auto shut-off so the batteries should last a good long time. |
Question: | Can this be used to check for collodial silver in the 10 ppm range in a solution of distilled water |
Answer: | No it can't. It doesn't detect specific elements or chemicals. Though the way calcium, lead, and collodial silver may dissolve would effect the numerical value of TDS and if you knew that in 100 ml of 45 deg Celsius water would only hold X# ppm of an element you might be able to figure it out based on the numerical value shown. |
Question: | What temperature was this device calibrated at? I noticed that readings vary with temperature. How do I get a consistent reading |
Answer: | FROM HM DIGITAL: The TDS-EZ was calibrated at 25 degrees Celsius (77F), but more importantly, the TDS-EZ is one of HM Digital's most basic meters and does not have Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC). Therefore, since it does not have ATC, you will see discrepancies when testing hotter or colder from the baseline of 25C/77F.If your water is typically around this temperature, it won't be much of a difference, but if +/-10 degrees or more from 25C/77F, it's a good idea to get a meter with ATC, such as HM Digital's TDS-3, TDS-4, AP-1, COM-80 or COM-100. |
Question: | How many times can the tester be used |
Answer: | FROM HM DIGITAL: Unlimited. Eventually, you will need new batteries, but the TDS-EZ can be used an unlimited number of times. |
