Answer:	I have never been able to get the software to work under Windows 10 Pro. It never recognizes the device. I spent many hours trying to get it to work. I tried to get it working on my 8 core desktop, a Microsoft Surface Book, and a Surface Book 2 when I upgraded. I also emailed back and forth with support several times. They tried their best to help, but none of their suggestions worked, so I finally gave up on using the Windows software with this device. It's a shame because the PC connection is one of the reasons I chose this device over other brands. Of course, by the time I gave up, it was well past the return period. Fortunately, as a stand-alone device, this meter works very well. So, even without the PC software, it's a great value. In fact, despite the software issues, I'm still pretty happy with this meter. I hope this was helpful.
Question:	Are these calibrated before they are shipped
Answer:	According to directions it is well calibrated before shipment and recommends recalibration cycle of one year. Directions tell you how to recalibrate. Seems to be working for me/

The first mode simply reads the noise level at a constant rate, continually flucuating as the noise level changes. The other mode as she mentioned is the "MAX" mode. When you set it to this mode it will hold the highest reach noise level since placing the meter on MAX mode. Answer:	Hi there - I am with BAFX Products Support.It can certainly reach 30dBa however to find a location where the sound level is that low you will need to work very hard. Even most "VERY quiet rooms" are going to have a readings of anywhere from 35-45dba.Using it in a room of a house away from any busy streets, with all windows and doors closed, all ventilation off and all air ducts closed and no humans or animals in the room, MAY allow you to get down to 35dBa or so. Reaching a level of 30dba is going to be extremely difficult for most people unless you have a sound proof room.Regards,BAFX Products Support

Question:	Someone mentioned that the audible alarm lasts for 2 minutes. What if I just want a 5 second notification
Answer:	You can adjust the following 4 things pertaining to the alarm: 1) what decibel level sets it off, 2) when triggered, how long does the alarm go off (defaults to 120 seconds, but you can adjust it down), 3) how loud the alarm should be when it goes off (it beeps kind of like an alarm clock - this controls how loud the beeping is), 4) you can turn the alarm feature on or off

Answer:	I can't remember if it came with cert, and am sure it can be calibrated, you just need someone who can read/understand Chinese. For what I use it for (live music) it keeps everyone on the same page/parameter (100db is the target). Perfect for me.

Question:	Is it normal for the device to measure 47 dBA in a quite room out of the box
Answer:	47 seems a bit high, but listen to what is around you. There may be things that you've grown accustom to and therefore 'tune them out'. If you have a large closet with a fair amount of hanging clothes (they absorb a lot of noise), try it in there. In my case I get 38-40. Also, holding it can make a difference. What do you get if you put it on a tripod? I had an opportunity to compare mine to a pro-quality unit (> $2,500) in a sound room, but didn't think about it at the time given the rush to get things done.
Question:	Why is it Not calibrated at factory

Answer:	Unfortunately I am not able. The product information is very vague but then again it was very in-expensive. I'm using it for general measurements. If you're looking to meet ANSI then I suggest you spend the money and buy an appropriate product from a more scientific company. No slam on Meterk but they appear to sell a wide variety of products. You may wish to consider Amprobe SM-10 at $172 as it seems to meet ANSI, IEC, JISC (Japan) and N10140 (Australian) standards

Answer:	Removal: Start with Remover 1 | Release & Reuse. Spray onto tape sandwich. Insert a metal tipped comb between the two panels, and move back & forth. Spray again, wait 30 seconds and remove from hair. Rinse: Shampoo your natural hair and if you used it on the tape extensions. Shampoo 1 to 2 times to remove this oil based product. Residue Removal: Spray Remover 2 | Remove & Residue onto residue and comb in a downward direction to remove residue. Shampoo everything 1 to 2 times to remove this oil based product. For excessive residue, use Remover 3| Recon & Residue.

Answer:	Remover 1 - Release & Reuse (the bigger bottle) is not oil based. Remover 1 temporarily neutralizes the stickiness of hair extension tape - most of the time this is all you need to take out tape hair extensions. Remover 2 is oil based & deals with the sticky residue that is sometimes still in the hair. Remover 2 is unlike anything you have probably used - it is not a citrus based remover like what is usually available on the market. No harsh chemicals - actually it is good for the hair. Just make sure to thoroughly rinse Remover 2 before reapplying your tapes.

Answer:	IT can work fine. When turned “on” it displays an internal reading that appears high. Ignore this reading because the car read is probably higher.

Answer:	no you can not program it at all. it just has the microphone on top to pick the noise up and then shows you on the display what the noise level is.

Answer:	I'm not sure what you mean "lock" but you can check for the loudest db very easily, and the lowest db, too. It doesn't stay on that number forever though. Or at least I haven't gotten it to do that. But I'm usually too busy trying to figure out the average db's. I wish it told me that. It cycles off after so long (maybe 20 - 30 min.) and then you've lost all the data.

Calibration

* Please use 94dB@1KHz standard sound source

1 、 Carefully plug the microphone head in 1/2 inch hole

of the standard sound source (94dB@1KHz);

2 、 Turn on the power switch of the standard sound source (94dB@1KHz), use the straight screwdriver to adjust the potentiometer located in the opening hole within the machine stick, and make LCD display 94.0(referring to Figure 1).

* The meter has been adjusted properly; the recommended calibration interval is one year.

Backlight alarm

• After turning it on, press Hold key until the character HOLD displays onLCD.
• Press the key for about 2 seconds to turnoff the device. When the dBA disappears at the right bottom of the LCD, the alarmingsetting interface is ready for operation.
• Pressing the key Min/Max and key Hold is todecre ase or increase the value of alarming.
• Pressing the on/off key is to save thealarming value set, and the measuring mode resorted. If the current value isbeyond the setting the backlight flashes.

Lock the max/min sound level value

• Enter “MIN” measuring mode; the current value will be locked until the minimum value appears and replaces the current value.
• Enter “MAX” measuring mode, the current value will be locked until the maximum value appears and replaces the current value.
• Enter normal measuring mode, continuous measurement, the current measuring value will be change , press“HOLD ” , quitly lock the value.

Health prevention
