Answer:	I have learned that there is now hand held equipment to measure lumens. I understand that the factory must use special scientific equipment to determine output.

Answer:	I have the operation manual that came with it. It claims resolution of 1 lux and Accuracy in range of ≤10,000Lux:±4%rdg±0.5f.s. In the manual it actually also says that the range is 1-50,000Lux, so it seems from this info that even if some numbers are being shown, you could not believe their accuracy. Might be good for relative measurements, it all depends what you want to use it for and if you are interested in accurate or comparative measurements.
Question:	I want to see how many lumens of light is in my garage, will this tool tell me exactly how many lumens are present?: IE: 24,000 lumens ...etc
Answer:	No. Lux is not lumens. Lux is the measure of light intensity, lumens is amount of light production. Its like lux is water pressure in a pipe, whereas lumens is flow rate in the pipe. You can convert though, lux is lumens per sq meter. If you know how much sq meters is your room (all 6 sides) you can do the math to convert lux to lumen. If you arent good with metric, use familiar units and do the conversion last.

Answer:	At 0.543 ohms you are going to be reading the resistance of the meter test leads combined with the resistance of the part under test. hence the need for a expensive 4 wire high accuracy ohm meter.

Answer:	Most accurate would be incident metering tough this relies on you being able to meter at lighting similar to your subject. If this is not possible (uneven clouds, shadows, fog, etc), use reflective metering which is how 99% of cameras meter. This meter will do both.

Answer:	It has a semi-soft plastic overmould around the meter itself, orange in the picture above. It came with push-on alligator clips to go on the supplied test leads. Be aware this DMM doesn't do current measurements and IMO, tries to be too 'smart'.
Question:	Does this read par and/or ppfd
Answer:	It will turn off or indicate zero line volts when you turn off the proper breaker. I use a breaker locator then verify by measuring zero volts at the load end.
Question:	This only reads led lights? will it work for cmh lighting
Answer:	The product seems to work well but the voltage drop accuracy is not correct in my opinion. I did a test with a heater load and a Fluke meter and the circuit analyzer was showing more voltage drop than there actually was.
Question:	is there a version of the mq-500 that can detect into the uvb range
Answer:	Some Googling turns up that Sinometer and Mastech are related companies. It appears that the brand names are somewhat interchangeable, and often meters marked "Mastech" are listed as being from Sinometer. E.g. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA04E0BA8503. Item title is "Mastech 8268", box and product both say Mastech. Meter works. Probably not worth worrying about.

The Apogee MQ-500 Full Spectrum Quantum Sensor Meter Bundle

The MQ-500 has a hand-held meter, attached via cable, that displays and stores measurements.
