| Answer: | IMO, these PVC pieces are stiffer than AZEK decking. Some PVC has a more foam-like interior with a harder exterior and will flex more than solid PVC. This PVC is hard enough to not flex easily unless you use larger pieces without support. I used it to make several dash panels in which I mounted round marine radios, a voltmeter, an AFR/Boost gauge and a 2" diameter storage tube to hold a pair of glasses or a candy bar and it has worked very well. Glues easily using conventional PVC/ABS cements which may leave blue stains, so I recommend using clear cement, if possible. I am currently making a new storage box roughly 2.5" H x 3" wide and 3" deep to replace the 2" storage tube. |

| Answer: | It is slick. It starts out fairly glossy but it can be scuffed to increase the surface friction. It will bend but not much before it breaks, unless heated while bending. It will snap if you bend it too sharply without heating it up along the bend. |

| Answer: | The product was probably never tested for that application. Shims are almost invariably used OUTSIDE of the process per se, but rather to facilitate the proper installation of the process hardware. You should consult a reliable ichthyologist for a more knowledgeable opinion. |

The listing today is for 10" x 20" so for $17 you are getting 200 sq. in. My suggestion is to buy the product and return it if you are not completely satisfied. |

Longer answer: the stock I received was made by Precision Brand, who does have a table of material properties on their website--but no mention of hardness.Qualitatively, I can say the PVC stock is quite tough. The 1mm sheet is extremely difficult to cut, even with heavy-duty scissors/shears. |

| Answer: | It's a plastic sheet. Structurally PVC is a lot like plywood or MDF. You can cut and shape it with woodworking tools. I would just be careful to watch how close it's gets to be to that light fixture. It does melt. |

| Answer: | perhaps if you cut relief lines into it as you would to shape a thin piece of wood or MDF. But just trying to bend it into an extreme U shape would surely snap it. It's got some give. But not that much. |
