- Great drain tool for unclogging shower and sink drains, flexes at P-trap where most clogs occurred
- More environmental and less expensive than toxic chemical drain cleaners
User questions & answers
Question: | Do they get stuck easily when being pulled back up |

Question: | How wide is this |
Answer: | I bought the 19.6 inch 3 pack and they were plenty long enough for my drain. |
Question: | Which size (19 or 23 inch) should I get to unclog a bath tub drain |
Answer: | I was able to get it down the drain without removing the stopper but it broke when I pulled it back up. Unable to remove more than half of the snake that is now in the drain unless I figure out how to remove the stopper or call a plumber. :( |
Question: | Does the stopper have to be removed |
Answer: | no they are much too flexible, think very light weight control rods for RC planes/cars holding a 12" length at the end horizontally the other tip is about 8" below the held end. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Would these be able to hold beanies |
Answer: | no the hook does not swivel |

Question: | Can these be used to hold weights on outdoor curtains? The description says they are stainless steel, is this true, do they rust |
Answer: | It is 50 clips, Sorry for this confuse. |
Question: | Why does the top of page say there are 50 clips, yet the 'package content' says 30? This is confusing |
Answer: | It probably just depends on what type of drain you are using it on. I didn't have a problem with it getting stuck. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do you think these can be cut into 4" pieces (with scissors) to use as sticks for cupcake toppers |
Answer: | Do you mean using them as stakes to hold up the wood candy cane? Depends how much the wood weighs. 1 or 2 of these are not very supportive but if you bundle several of them together it might work. Hope that helps. Best of luckπ |
Question: | will these rods hole up placing them in the ground for like wood candy canes |
Answer: | Never counted them but could be around 40 or 50. |
Question: | How many are in the pack |
Answer: | Sure. My guess is this material is acrylic. It worked fine over the color spectrum using and LED. I don't know what your application is, but if you are looking to have the entire length "light-up," you should use 400 grit sand paper to rough up the rod. Otherwise, only the ends will light up. Your question raises the interesting question of what angle will the light bend with in these rods? I bend one using a torch...a clear 90 degree. It transmits the 90 degrees just fine. I suppose you know this, but if you really want to light up the rod, you should score it using sand paper (say, 400 grit). Of course, you deface the clear rod in the process, but you get a neat effect on the scored material when it is lite at the end (even after a 90 degree angle). Extruded acrylic 1/16" rod material is available in longer lengths (6', I think) from places like USPlastics. E.g., see: www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?sku=44650. |
Question: | Do these transmit light? Emitting light at the end - like fiber optics |
Answer: | As long as they aren't huge, these are strong and hold well. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How tall are these rods |
Answer: | As the pole for a small marker flag, they can work well. If you intend to attach a bit of paper or felt or other cloth at the end with glue I would suggest roughing the end up with a little sandpaper to help adhesion. However I would recommend cutting them to about 6 inches as most, longer than that and it may get a bit wobbly. |
Question: | Are these good for flags |
Answer: | I never tried to float them. |
Question: | Do these float |
Answer: | They are hard enough for drilling into and tapering. But they are flexible in full length. I use them for ship model mounts in |
Question: | Are these fairly hard or very flexible? I need them hard for sculpting |
Answer: | Probably China |

Question: | Is this material stronger than wired clothing hangers |
Answer: | Only been using it for about 2 days with my students, but so far, no green fingers. |
Question: | Does it turn your finger green |
Answer: | About an 8 gauge |
Question: | What gauge is this 3mm wire |
Answer: | Sorry, I ordered mine because I needed something that would match 15 ga wire for a craft project. Can tell you that it bends easily. I can tell you the 18ga copper wire is 1.0 mm and it bends easily back and forth, copper is a soft wire. Hope you can find something for your important task of making face masks! |
Question: | What mm of thickness should I use for the nose portion of a diy face mask |
Answer: | I do not have a listing up for that size but if you need 30" long rods you can purchase the 36" version here and immediately AFTER the purchase you must send me an Amazon message to cut the rods down to 30" for you. If you do not send the message after the purchase the cuts will not get done and the rods will ship in 36" lengths as listed. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Has anyone used these to repair carpenter bee damage |
Answer: | I would not recommend this for that use. If hit on the wrong angle or hit to hard it could splinter or snap. |
Question: | Can these be hit like a drumstick on a desk by a small child |
Answer: | This is very easily cut with a standard household hacksaw. |
Question: | Can they be cut to a smaller length and if so, how |
Answer: | Yes it can be drilled but this is only 1/4" acrylic. I am pretty sure this is NOT the correct product for your application. 1/4" is fairly thin and will not take very much abuse before it breaks. |
Question: | Can the rod be drilled through its diameter? This would be a hole to thread string through to attach a scrubby top |
Answer: | This wire is much more malleable than clothing hangers. |

User questions & answers
Question: | can this be cut into 1/2 wafers and still look smooth |
Answer: | I used a wood mitre saw and a metal hack saw both by hand and cut fine and no problems, it would be safe to say yes. |
Question: | can this be cut with a band saw using a wood blade |
Answer: | I have not machines my piece yet but in general yes Acetal is very machinable and not gummy or stringy |
Question: | is it machineable |
Answer: | Like any plastic, it becomes more flexible with heat. I left the quarter inch stock I bought in the sun and slowly bent it around a four inch diameter bilge pump. When cool, I was able to run a coarse thread tap and use nylon nuts to affix the ends as a nylon U-bolt. |
Question: | Is this a heat formable plastic rod? I'm looking for somthing like a kydex dowel, thank you in advance for your advice |
Answer: | Yes. PE, ABS, PP & PVC as in the picture. Although mine came in with printed stickers not hand written. |
