| Answer: | it depends on the thickness and hardness of the license plate holder. They will not effectively cut something very thick. Wadded up jeans would be fine (thick but soft), a penny (copper or zinc), would be fine (hard but somewhat thin). A very hard/brittle plastic that is >0.25" thick, I do not think they would cut, they may 'crack' the plastic but likely not cut that plastic. If you are trying to 'trim' the license plate holder, and not destroy it use a slow dremel and let the plastic keep cooling during cutting or use a plastic saw, or a jig saw or some kind of saw with teeth that do not point into the direction of the cut and go slowly (or you will heat up and melt the plastic: looks bad). |

| Answer: | I've cut water wrap casts off. But those old school 1/2 inch plaster casts tend to be just too thick. Leave this sort of help to a professional. The correct and safer tool is a Vibra Saw. |

| Answer: | Have not tried them on a seat belt, however, one day on the highway something was causing noise around my front left tire, didn't feel right. So I pulled off the Interstate and had a look: thick plastic from car's bumper was shredded and stuck in my wheel well, and thick plastic also rubbing the inside of the tire. I pulled and pulled, would not budge. I got my shears out and cut the plastic, then was able to get the rest out of the wheel well; I was then on my way home again. If it were not for my shears, I would have had to call a tow truck. |

| Answer: | The one we ordered from Amazon partner-seller "surgicalonline" in fact sent from Zulco Int'l. Inc. of Deer Park, NY has only "STAINLESS PAKISTAN" and "AUTOCLAVABLE 143C/290F" molded in the plastic handle, with no trademark. It is a very low quality item that not only cuts poorly but has rough die-sheared edges on the steel near the handle. The coating is so thin the steel shows through in places. It's a real piece of junk. |
