Answer:	It comes with two sizes, one small and one large. The small one works fine for young children. I have a 20 month old, and a 2 month old and it works on both of them.
Question:	Can you see middle ear/water in it with this Otoscope
Answer:	Barracuda,From what I know (I'm not an expert) when the middle ear is filled with fluid, it will appear bloated or mis-shapen. You can do a simple google image search and see lots of photos for a mental image. (thats what I did for self education on what to look for) To answer your question though, yes, you can see with this otoscope. However there are a few things you need to be sure of first. Most children's ears are clogged to some extent or another with ear wax. No matter how hard I try to clean their ears (delicately) with q-tips the ear wax is "always" present. If I check my husbands ear its clear as day I can see straight to the middle ear, with the kids however I always need to do clean up first. My doctor gave me a syringe that has a soft flexible tube attachment where the needle would usually attach. I heat water to a boil for sterilization and then let it sit until it becomes luke warm. Its important that the water is just luke warm because if its hot the inner ear is very sensitive and can get burned even if that water wouldn't burn your outer skin. Its equally important to make sure the water is not cold because that will cause headaches and vomiting. If the water in my bowl cools off too much I'll just add a tad of the boiling water to warm it right back up. I typically will do this in the bath tub since its not an issue of getting everything wet. I pull back just slightly on the earlobe and fill the syringe (its very very large) with the warm water and allow the soft tubing to sit inside the ear and just spray like you would a water gun. It may take 5 trys or 15 trys but the ear was softens and comes flushing out with the water. I then take a ear pick (you can buy them online) and take care of any additional wax that might be stuck to the walls of the ear canal and clean it all up. Once that is all done I have a clean view to the inner ear. The light is strong enough to see discoloration. I'm not a skilled physician so I doubt I could spot a very mild discoloration but nonetheless I can see it if its distinct enough for my eye to detect it. Doctor's offices have the type of otoscope that can blow a small amount of air onto the inner ear while they're looking at it. If the air pushes the inner ear tissue back that means all is well and if the inner ear tissue doesn't move that means there's fluid present. That type of otoscope is very expensive and not something I could afford. Another thing to keep in mind is that most common ear infections are viral (meaning they will clear themselves up) within several days. When you have an ear infection that lasts longer than 5-7 days and continues to get worse rather than better than that is an indication that the infection is bacterial and will require antibiotics. These however are more rare and so for me it was another reason why I felt having an otoscope on hand to monitor was necessary. If my children did indeed develop an ear infection I would not take them to the doctor immediately (not with my children but every child is different and only you know their medical history and risk to make that judgement) because taking antibiotics when the ear infection is viral and is not in need of antibiotics only worsens your childs chances of developing a more aggressive bacteria later on. Doctors 9 times out of 10 will prescribe antibiotics even though its not clear if the infection is viral or bacterial because to be certain they would have to run a sample test and that is rare and only done on severe cases so they go by what the parents want most of the time. Unfortunately if your like most parents you just want you baby better the quickest way possible and if you're uneducated on the details of most ailments then we spring for the "yes" on antibiotics. When we take them the bacteria that lives within us gets smarter and more resistant to that medicine next time. Same way if I took 2 advils every day for months then shortly later I would have to start upping the dose for it to be effective and so on and so on and so on. You might already know all this and if so I dont mean to ramble on. I went through a learning curve after my sons hospital visit and learned things I never thought of looking into before. Question:	Can the lens be removed, for when you want to remove FB from the ear canal
Answer:	The lens is removable for cleaning but you would have to be a very skilled person with proper instruments to ever remove something through the middle of an otoscope. An ENT specialist might be able to do the job but I have tried this approach in the ER and found it impossible. Remember you have to have an forceps or instrument that can also fit down the middle of the otoscope. Usually its widest diameter is around 5mm at the small end. It works much better to use the otoscope to look through and then run your instrument into the ear canal beside the specula or nose cone. Actually easiest way to remove a foreign substance from the ear is by flushing it out with warm water unless you are an ENT with special microscope and instruments. Just saying from many years of experience in the ER dealing with insects, peas, beads, ceruman or anything else that can get stuck in an ear. Believe me I have seen it all one time or another. I could write a book about all the interesting things that people have stuck in other orifices.....but that that should be left for a different chapter in the book.

Answer:	We have the Dr Mom Vet Otoscope for sale on Amazon with longer specula and a longer focal length lens that works well for animals since they typically have a longer ear canal. Just do a search on Dr Mom Vet Otoscope and you should see it.

Answer:	Yes, this came with about three replacement plastic ends (disposable specula) and I also purchased a package of disposable speculas separately.

Answer:	I'm not sure if this question is worded correctly. I don't think you can use an otoscope on yourself. Never tried. I've used it on my husband, my 2 year old and my 10 month old. It works fine with my husband and 2 year old because they are able to sit still long enough for me to see the eardrum. My baby is too wiggly and I haven't been able to really see her eardrum. The doctor showed me how to use it, you have to pull the ear back to really see the eardrum. This is not nearly as bright as the one the doctor has, but it works for my purposes. I use it to see if the ear is slightly irritated/red so I know if I should be bringing my son to the doctor for an ear infection. It's very difficult to know if he has one through his actions/mood etc. Hope this helps.

Answer:	It is possible but tricky to point a camera through the viewing window. Self-timers can help with holding everything still with your hands - I captured a light bulb spectrum with my smartphone using one. Question:	Can you use a disposable specula with this otoscope? If yes, what size
Answer:	Yes disposable specula work great with the otoscope. It uses standard disposables that can be found on our website www.otoscopespecula.com. Our specula also work well with Welch Alllyn standard otoscopes but will not work with their Macroview model. They have a patented design on these specula and that is also why they have added cost. The disposable specula need to be pushed on the nose cone of the otoscope and then twisted to lock into place. Many customers who have purchased our older smaller generation Dr Mom LED otoscopes are getting confused and are pushing the specula on the nose cone but not twisting to lock into place. Pushing will work for the smaller older Dr Mom otoscopes but on these models you have to push and then twist.

Answer:	Yes it has magnification and the the perfect focal length for seeing the eardrum. If you have used an otoscope in the past you will be very impressed with how well this one functions. Ours uses a round optical quality glass lens while theirs uses a square acrylic plastic. Answer:	This Bebird is well worth the 34.00. I made the mistake of buying a knock off version for 13.87 I think it was. It had a terrible camera that give a very blurry picture so that was a real waste of 13.87 for an earwax removal tool anyway. Now the Bebird is well worth the 34.00. It has a very clear picture that is 1080p, which shows in great detail everything in your ear or mouth or whatever else you want a closeup picture of. It's easy to get the Bebird app from The Google Store and super easy to connect it to your wifi as well. Mine only took about 35 minutes to charge then after that you unplug the charging cable from the Bebird then turn it on from the app on your phone and that's it! Super easy to use. I recommend this c3 version to anyone looking for a earwax removal tool.

Earwax and grease might attached on the camera lens after a few times use, which result in blurry image. you need to clean the lens, please use alcohol pad to wipe the lens first. After that take a cotton swab to wipe the lens multiple times and make sure you apply some pressure on it.

Answer:	You adjust the focus where you want to focus at by changing the distance from that object: - move either away from the object or move closer, also rotate the scope clockwise or counterclockwise, to focus better. Also you have to read right what you see: - ear wax can have different colors depending on if infected with fungi or not, Usually fungi infection is white in color if recent, and dark in color if old one. The tympanic membrane is towards pink, or light brown. I suggest to look at YouTube videos for actual ear wax removal scenarios.
