Answer:	When you buy a new disposal, the sink stopper and rubber flange should come with it. I do not know what is involved as far as additional parts needed for the under-the-sink connection or the wiring of the diposal to an operating switch.

Answer:	I have no problem pulling out the InSinkErator STP-SS what-so-ever. If you are having a problem breaking the suction, you can simply open drain function with this stopper.
Question:	Does this stopper fit down into the drain, or at the top of the drain so that it sticks out into the basin of the sink
Answer:	Inner flange diameter - 3 1/8". Outer diameter - barely greater than 3 1/4" (not a full 3 5/16"). It sticks up into the basin of my sink, and barely provides a seal so that the most minor bump to it results in a leak. The inner flange rests within the drain, but the out flange keeps it from resting down inside the drain.

Answer:	This was a great buy with 2 year warranty on product.
Question:	Does this disposer come with a stainless steel mount
Answer:	the mounting bracket is part of the drain hole strainer that fits into grain hole in the sink. the bottom of the strainer is the bracket which your disposal locks on to when installed under the sink. the sinkstainer is stainless steelnad wheter the monting bracke t is stainless or not does not matter. it never comes in contact with water or waste products. you will replace your disposal before the bracket would ever show any signs of wear.
Question:	Does this also come with the seal and the elbow to the drain trap the the two screws mount into/onto
Answer:	This unit comes complete with the seal and all items needed to mount it under the sink. The elbow to connect it to the drain trap is included as well. Be sure to clean both sides (top and bottom) of the sink thoroughly with a Brillo pad or something to get a smooth, clean surface for the seal. The elbow is fairly long, but if it doesn't fit completely into your trap, you can get an extension and coupling at Home Depot or Lowes to make it longer.
Question:	Is it compatible with a "badger 5" mount
Answer:	As I recall, the mount did not fit. I had to use the mount supplies with the GE unit. The GE unit itself is smaller in diameter that the badger. I would have preferred to use the badger if the plumbing lines fit.

Answer:	The manufacturer needs to make it clear that this doesn't fit Waste King "drain shoes" (sink flange, basically the drain into the disposal). The Disposal Genie I could be filed down to fit the smaller Waste King opening, but the Disposal Genie II doesn't fit and can't be modified to fit. Shame on Danco for not making compatibility information clear in the product information.

Answer:	You should leave the black rubber fluted flange over the garbage disposal and then put the Danco in. It goes down between the fluted part of the flange.
Question:	Does the top recess into the drain hole so it's flush? Version 1 sticks up in my sink so I can't sit large items in the sink flat

Question:	Does this garbage disposal have a dishwasher hookup
Answer:	Hello and thank you for your interest in the Moen GX50C Garbage Disposal. The unit does allow for a dishwasher hookup. If you plan on installing a dishwasher drain to the disposal, a 7/8” dishwasher connector kit (Moen Part 1023) is needed. Question:	Does this unit have an Allen socket that can be used to unclog jams
Answer:	It does not, but because of the type motor used in Moen disposers you don't need one. Jamming is not an issue because the motors are much higher speed than some other brands- and the motors start at full speed. Other brands start slower and wind up to full speed- which allows jams to occur.
Question:	Could this disposal be hard wired
Answer:	Yes, hardwired mine, even has instructions how to remove the plug. My original wire shielding didn't fit the indent on the disposal but I was able to work around the issue.
Question:	Does this have the removable splash guard? And does it allow water to drain quickly

Question:	I have an older garbage disposal with a 3 inch diameter opening. Will these fit
Answer:	Yes, the diameter of the guard measures exactly 3 inches so it should fit yours
Question:	is this as stiff as the ge brand...food doesn't go down well on ge brand
Answer:	I don't know about ge brand. But this one could be considered a bit stiff. I actually had to enlarge the center hole, just a little bit, buy trimming with a scissors. If memory serves me correctly, I think I saw a post from someone else quite a while back who also enlarged the center hole. That solved the problem of the food not going down well.
