Answer:	Yes, definitely. I use mine almost exclusively for yard work. We have a lot of pine trees and I use my older 26" model for picking up pine cones, small branches, and clumps of leaves. (A rake would be better for individual leaves; otherwise, you would have to pick them up one at a time.) The spring just broke in mine (after over 30 years of yardwork!) and I just ordered the 32". The 26" was a little short for yard work, but the 32" should be just about perfect.

Answer:	I had spinal surgery in mid October. Answer:	China, they are faulty. They last about two weeks then a design flaw makes them stop functioning. The design flaw is that there is a plastic piece inside where the cable runs that as you use the device wears a groove making the cord that operates the grabber stop being able to grab as the cord gets stuck in this groove. There is no way to fix it, it just stops being able to open and close making it worthless. Hope that helps.

Answer:	No, none that I've noticed. The only "noise" that I do notice is the soft, rubbing of the action in the handle and that's it.

Answer:	Hi, friend, trust me, 2 packs are really convenient. I bought a grabber before, but it was really inconvenient when it disappeared. Now I have 2 packs, even if one is missing or broken, I can use the other one immediately. And I can put one in the kitchen and one in the room.
Question:	How wide is the jaw
Answer:	I haven't tried that yet. My guess is, you probably can, if the plate edge has enough of a lip to allow one part of the grabber to get under, and then squeeze the trigger to allow other part of the grabber to clamp around. However, if the plates are heavy (like mine, which are white ceramic like restaurant plates), I wouldn't try it unless you have a soft cushioned surface below it so that if it does drop away from he grabber it won't break. I love these grabbers! They pick up alot of things. I can actually pull out wet just-spun laundry and place it in my dryer (as well as remove dried clothes from dryer). My washer/dryer are so low to the floor, and the reach to the back of either makes me twist as well as bend. The other day I picked up a rather small pill that I dropped that I was going to give my dog. Amazing that it grabbed such a small item off the floor! I picked up my boots one at a time, as they are quite heavy. And did so with ease. I don't have use for the shoe horn, as I have a very long steel one that I use while standing, that reaches to the bottom of my knee-high sorel snow cat boots. The list goes on and on. I saw that some pictures show reaching to high shelves to bring down canned goods or glasses, etc. I think for safety's sake, I would place those items on shelves I could reach without the grabber, unless the individual was in a wheel-chair. Answer:	I use mine for river litter pick-up. It's done okay so far, but the "grabber" ends will bend if trying to pull on something buried in the bank a bit. Answer:	No. It will barely handle One Pound between the gripping tips. I got it to retrieve books from high shelves. It will barely handle a one pound hardback book. Squeeze until I am worried for the grabber and worried for the tendons in my wrist, and the book just wants to slide out from between the tips.Note that the tips are the part of the grabber with the least mechanical advantage. It might do better with something round that would fit within the arms of the grabber. I just checked: the inner padded surface of the arms will do a fairly good job of gripping round objects from 2 1/2 to 3 inches (60 to 75 mm) in diameter. Smaller, and the arms can't tighten enough; larger, and only the tips get much of a grip, and as above, they don't grip very hard.I might consider it for a single serving can of soup or a catsup bottle, but I wouldn't be using it for quart jars of mayonnaise.

Answer:	It’s not so much a question of being strong enough; rather, it’s the design of the “grabbers” that might be an issue. This model seems to work best with smaller objects. If you could get the “grabbers” or “jaws” around the handle of the fabric softener bottle, it would be strong enough. It is well made. I own several grabbers, and each one is better at picking up certothimgs.
