Answer:	This adapts from RCA connectors to HDMI. If your VHS player has RCA connectors on it it should work. It does require AC power though.

Answer:	No. It will stretch the 4:3 image to 16:9.
Question:	Can this be used to record on old dvd recorder
Answer:	This converter cannot be used to convert HDMI to RCA. It can only be used to convert RCA outputs to HDMI outputs. So if your old DVD recorder has RCA outputs and you just want to be able to see its output, then this should work like it works on my VHS/DVD combo recorder.

Answer:	Hello, hope this helps. There are no RCA to HDMI and no HDMI to HDMI cables. The only cable supplied was the unit to USB port cable, which was about 3 ft long. You will need the RCA connector cables, the HDMI cable, and a power brick or electric plug for the USB, to make this work.

Answer:	No, this device cannot convert a 2D signal to a 3D signal. It is merely stating that you can run a 3D signal through the box without issues. The Tv, Cable, this box, whatever is driving the display (eg, a disk player.console, or pc), and the content you're trying to stream all have to all support a 3D signal. Movies especially, are hard to find in 3D. The film needs to be recorded with two cameras working simultaneously, like how people use two eyes to make a 3d image of their surroundings. Doing this without two cameras requires someone to guess how close the object should be, a very imperfect science. --Basic rundown on how 3D works The marketing is referring to HDMI's ability to carry a stereo-graphic 3D signal. This is used by special tvs to make a 3 dimensional image. It is basically two simultaneous video streams. One goes into the left eye and the other goes into the right (the exact technology that achieves this varies, but it requires special hardware, like special glasses that only allow a frame of video to go through one eye at a time, and alternates at a rate too fast to notice). Question:	I'm experiencing brief drop in audio output about every 15 minutes when listening to a cd on a sony ubp-x800. player is set to pcm. any idea why
Answer:	I set my DVD player & TV sound output to RAW. It didn't sound that good when I had it set on PCM. Don't know if this will fix the problem, but its worth a try.

Answer:	This is just a digital audio signal into an analog audio signal, no video.Just the speakers.

Answer:	First, there is no coax "OUT" port on this device, only coax in. The red and white RCA connections give you the left and right stereo audio signals after conversion from the optical fiber input connected to the TV. Unless you have a most unusual stereo amp, you have multiple choices on the back of the amp for RCA left and right audio connections. Using a standard audio jumper cable with the red and white RCA connectors on both ends, hook this box to an unused port ( ie Tape), select that input for the amp and you should be good.

Answer:	I bought this converter a few months ago to use for connecting an HDTV to an old analog stereo receiver for better quality audio instead of the horrible audio from the built in TV speakers. Question:	Can you use for soundbar
Answer:	That's the way I use it. I have a DVR/VHS attached to my smart TV and watch DVDs and VCRs on my TV. Computer: doubtful--unless you have some software I've never heard of. Most HDMI ports on computer only output video can not be used to input. Computer monitor, definitely. The VCR should work just fine.
Question:	So i tried my unit. the black “box” gets very hot. it plugged into the usb port on my receiver. also, i get video, but no sound. any help
Answer:	It does with mine. It works with any TV but it won’t convert to 4k resolution, just allows the signal to go through any HDMI connection, can be up to 1080P. I hope this helps.
Question:	Would I be able to watch a vhs tape on my vcr and have it displayed on my computer/tv
Answer:	I've never tried to save anything directly to my external hard drive. I would connect the device by its USB to my computer or laptop and save it there. I would then transfer the video fron the computer to my external hard drive.
Question:	Will this works with a 4k tv
Answer:	You need an 8mm tape player with RCA out (yellow, red and white holes) in order to do connect with this device This is a digital recorder without a cassette compartment.

Answer:	You’ll need an spoof cable to go from the TV to this unit and a power source for the unit too. Use a powered USB port on the TV or an A/C adapter with a USB outlet. Then from this unit you’ll need a 3.5 MM cable from this unit to your speaker.
Question:	My projectors connecttion for a speaker is a 3.5mm line in and the speakers only connect with optical audio will this work
Answer:	No it will not. It goes the other way. I just did it the 3.5 is the output not input
