Answer:	That sounds about right. Reasonably decent depth of field for this type of loupes. I'm usually using them for tying flies these days, at a vice - more often at approx 18-20"

Answer:	I think I remember a one year warranty, but usually don't pay much attention to them. Usually more of a pain in the rear than they're worth. I've had mine for about 1 1/2 years, work fine, last long time. Treat them like they cost $1200, and they'll last. They are fairly easy to knock out of adjustment, but easy to adjust. Treat them like they cost $80 and they don't last so well.

Answer:	Measuring at the center post supports for the lenses, it appears that the inter pupillary distance would be approx 2.62" or 66.6mm at widest setting. When I sit down at a microscope, I almost always have to widen the field of focus if anyone else has used the scope. My comfortable setting on these loupes is significantly inside their limits. Not an ophthalmologists, so that's about the best I can do.

Answer:	The headlight is fair. It attaches to the loupes with 2 small plastic clips and is fairly lightweight. The light is not the strongest light out there, but the brightness can be adjusted and it works well with the additional overhead light that we use in my dental office. Answer:	Even at the weakest magnification, you have to hold whatever item you’re looking at about 2 inches from the lens. Not for long-term use. I use it for things like getting out a splinter, tying a knot in beading, something very short term.
Question:	As a locksmith, would this be a good tool for key impression
Answer:	You need to find something that provides a long depth of focus! The one I bought is such that, you must hold the thing you're looking at about four inches from your face, within a couple of inches one way or the other, which is awkward. Also look for something LIGHT in weight. I removed the left eye-piece to use separately, and now just use the right. Especially since this unit does not offer separation adjustment so the odds of you getting stereo vision with it are not good.
