| Answer: | We linked two clamps together so they would reach around our mast. It was fairly easy as long as the clamps you purchase don't have a stop on the end; ours did not. I would advise you to have a tail on each clamp that's at least 2½ to 3 inches long for a secure hold. We also secured our clamps with rigging tape to protect them from the elements and to protect ourselves from getting snagged on the tails. I don't know if running two clamps together has an impact on any manufacturer's warranty. |

| Answer: | Well you presented a question. the inside of the Scharder valve has 2 different thread sizes. the smaller allows the seal to sear. then the larger threaded section secures the valve from the top. the outside diameter of the larger thread is .198 The outside diameter of the smaller thread is .140 the outside diameter of the steam is .298 not 1/4 inch closer to 5/16 These threads are not American Standard or Metric as fare as I could determin.. I would guess they are threads only used on these air valves by Schrader. This was fun as the inspectiom took me back 50 some years to my time as an inspector for Ford. I wonder what you plan to do with this item |
