The unique design of the Studor Mini-Vent provides plumbing ventilation to prevent the loss of water seals in traps without the need for costly roof penetration and vent piping. Studor Mini-Vent Air Admittance Valve with PVC Adapter is a one way valve used for branch or single fixture ventilation. It protects the water trap seals and does not allow sewer gases and smells to leak into the living space. When a negative pressure in the drainage pipe occurs, the valve opens to allow the entrance of air. When the pressure is balanced the Mini-Vent closes absolutely tight, so the foul air cannot escape. Fits: 1-1/2 or 2-inch x 2.625-inch vent height x 2-inch vent diameter. PVC construction with a temperature rating of -40 to 150 deg F.

Answer:	If you are past the return date, I think that’s the end of the story... Mine is not doing well either and I got mine the end of May 2020. I honestly would not recommend this hose to anyone.

Answer:	I guess you could but when you turn off the water the hose shrinks. It also does not stretch out to 25 or whatever feet until you turn on the water.

Answer:	I'm not sure what you mean by "Cut on"? Don't Physically CUT the Hose. IF you mean "Turning it on" for just a quick fill, it works fine -- However the Hose was Designed to EXPAND to it's Full Length Once it is Totally Filled/Pressurized.

Answer:	I don't know the brand you mentioned. However I found that this diafram part was not the problem. It was the solenoid. Since the irritrol complete valve was only About 25.00 , it pays to buy the whole valve. You get both the diafram and the solenoid.

Answer:	I don't believe you need a washer - at least I didn't. I just popped out the old diaphragm and popped in the new one. I think the "washer" is sort of just part of the diaphragm. Be ready, though: there is a spring in there that will pop out when you take the valve apart, and you will need it because the diaphragm doesn't come with a spring. Good luck!

Answer:	It's looks okey but you can call irritrol directly. If you are having leaking problem at the sprinkler head then I recommend you replace the entire valve. It's only about 25dollars . You won't have to remove the old valve, just swap out the top . Most leaking problems are caused by the solenoid on the upper Portion of the the controller. You will get a diaphragm with the new controller anyway. Just some experience talking, I made the mistake of just ordering the diaphragm in the past and wound up later ordering a controller.

The BlowTie Spunding Valve is used to release excess pressure on a pressurized fermenter or from a receiving keg during pressure transfers. This diaphragm spunding valve is much more accurate than the spring and poppet style, and works much better at lower pressures.



Pressure Fermentation

Pressure fermentation is becoming more and more popular at the homebrew level, but in order to do it safely and accurately, you need a way to release excess pressure. You'll pressurize your vessel to your desired psi, but once fermentation begins and those hungry, active yeast start creating CO2, the pressure inside the vessel will increase. Attach a spunding valve and set it to your desired pressure, and it will blow off when the pressure gets to high and close up again when it's back to your desired psi.



Pressure Transfers

Even if you don't have a pressurizable fermenter, you may have done pressure transfers from keg to keg during filtering or after fining. During pressure transfers, it's a good idea to have a bit of head pressure in the receiving keg, especially if you're transferring beer that is already carbonated. Having a spunding valve in place will allow you to consistently control the head pressure and give you more consistent results, without losing carbonation in the process.



Diaphragm vs. Poppet

With the poppet style spunding valve, a spring pushes against a poppet to keep the valve closed. When the poppet lifts up to open, the surface area the gas pushes against becomes larger, and the spring has to work harder to push the poppet down and reseal the valve. This can lead to more gas being released than intended, and the remaining pressure in your vessel may be at a lower psi than your spunding valve’s set psi.
