Answer:	FYI, these roll, I purchased in April, have become brittle. Not sure if its moisture in the plastic, but just letting you know.

Answer:	The PLA is not certified as food safe. Regardless of the type of filament that is used, 3D printing that uses FDM technology generally is not safe for printing food safe parts. There are many reasons for this. One main factor is because bacteria can build up in the small gaps that is created in between the layers that are printed. Another reason is because typical stock nozzles are made out of brass, which contains lead.

PLA Filament

Polylactic Acid (PLA) is created from processing a number of plant products, it's considered the greener plastic compared to ABS. Since PLA is derived from sugars, it gives off a semi-sweet smell when heated during printing. This is generally preferred over ABS filament, which gives off the smell of hot plastic.

PLA is stronger and more rigid, which generally produces sharper details and corners compared to ABS. The 3D printed parts will feel more glossy. The prints can also be sanded and machined. PLA has much less warping versus ABS, and thus a heated build platform is not required. Because a heated bed plate is not required, many users often prefer to print using blue painters tape instead of kapton tape. PLA can also be printed at higher throughput speeds.

Please store PLA plastic filament in a dry cool space. Absorption of moisture can cause bubbles to form because PLA reacts with water at high temperatures.

Question:	I can’t get the filament to dry in time for on-the-air drawing. How can I draw upwards and make a joint
Answer:	Well for me I just held it in place... it just hangs there from the tip of the pen and you have to pull it tight. But, after about five/six seconds it should harden enough to pull the pen away and you have a verticle line. But, my brother has a desk fan set up that he has turned towards his work and said it works well. You just have to make sure the fan isn't too close and bends the plastic. But, you shouldn't have an issue getting verticle lines if you just hold it in place for a few seconds.

Answer:	This uses standard 1.75mm ABS and PLA.

Question:	What version is the board
Answer:	The newest version of the board is 1.1.5, it does not come with the printer though. Mine came with 1.1.4 which is very similar to the 1.1.3. Creality Sells the 1.1.5 separately right now as the Creality v1.1.5 Silent Main Board. It is $50 bucks and you might find it cheaper but it is a worthwhile upgrade. It has newer stepper drivers that make the stepper motors virtually silent. I can't hear them anymore only the fans now. The board also has thermal runaway enabled and has a boot loader preinstalled so if you wanted to switch to Vanilla Marlin or the TH3D software you could do so very easily. Installing this board and the TH3D software also made adding a BL Touch kit easy.

Question:	What is the physical footprint of this unit
Answer:	The actual base footprint itself requires a flat 12" x 12" surface, however certain parts such as the display panel overhang requiring a bit more space. A roughly 16" wide by about 20" deep space should be about right, although you will want to make sure both the back and front have an additional few inches to spare as the bed does move back and forth during operation. I mount mine on top of a 16" x 18" patio paver block for support and stability. I place the paver block over some dense foam that is cut about 1" in from the block edge (14" x 16"). This gives the printer a platform that helps contribute mass to absorb vibrations as well as offer a bid of noise reduction cause by sound transmission through the base. Placed a few inches from the back wall it also ensures the printer travel area remains clear. There is also YouTube video on using this technique if interested (not mine but I came across it after I came up with the same idea separately).
Question:	Does it come with any needed software? If so - what kind
Answer:	It does come with a very old version of Cura. The lastest version of Cura is what I am using. Just download it from https://ultimaker.com/en/products/ultimaker-cura-software/list. If all you are doing is downloading models and printing this is all you need. If you want to make your own 3D models that complicates things. There are many, many 3d modeling programs and which one to use is a very personal choice and each takes time to learn to use. Blender is free, Sketch-up is also I think. But there are commercial programs that can cost up to a couple of thousand to use. Zbrush, Studio Max, and others. Answer:	Thinner walls / hollow it out. Wash thoroughly with IPA. When curing only expose for very short times Until surface isn’t tacky then spray with a clearcoat to block the UV from curing it more overtime.

Answer:	The MSDS for this product does not show any sulfur. However resin can be hazardous please read the MSDS if you have any questions.
Question:	Where do i find a material safety data sheet
Answer:	I have left it in for a week. As long as the cover is on so no UV light gets to it you should be okay. It had started to settle so it needed to poured back in the bottle and shaken up. I won't leave it again. I have done three prints back to back and all I did was refill the tank each time. My prints came out good.

Question:	What is the density of this filament in g/cm
Answer:	It works with ASA. The other persons answer refers to it sticking too well, and having chunks taken out of their glass. In our experience, this can occur if you print at a hotter than recommended bed temp, if you don't let your bed fully cool before removing the part, or if you are using low quality soda lime glass instead of borosilicate. Example: For ABS we recommend printing at 80C and ASA at 100C. If you print ABS at 110C you can get extreme adhesion. We have encountered several printers that are set to 80C, but when measured with an external temp gun they are actually at 110-115C. We once had a customer with a print farm of 80 printers. 40 of one printer brand and 40 were another brand printer. 20 printers of one brand were encountering extreme adhesion where the part was difficult to remove when cooled. BED WELD was working as expected on the other printers. The 20 printers that had issues were checked with an infrared temp gun and were over 110C when the printer was set to 80C. They reduced their printer temps to compensate and the extreme adhesion was no longer an issue. If you print at the recommended bed temp, confirm your bed is actually at that temperature, and wait for the bed to cool, then you should not experience any difficulty removing the part. The parts normally release themselves from the bed, or with little effort. If you accidentally print at too hot of a temperature, or if you encounter extreme adhesion, then we have an easy workaround posted on the FAQ page of our support site.

Answer:	Make sure economy mode is turned "Off". We have started to see some printers that are shipping with an "Economy" mode enabled. Creality CR10's for example. This feature turns off the bed heater to conserve energy. When the bed cools the coating is designed to release the part from the bed. It is critical to make sure that the bed stays at a constant temperature until the print is completed.
Question:	Reliable petg
Answer:	You can print in 1.2mm, but you'll be doing it at .6mm speeds unless you can generate more heat. Running the 12v cartridge at 18v-24v will get you 90% the way there if you do it properly. I imagine it's life will be shorter, although I haven't burned one out yet to tell you. Heat sink compound on the cartridge, heat break to both the heat sink and heater block, and nozzle threads is required. Plain old zinc compound works, or you can get fancy and get the stuff rated for these temps. The zinc will degrade eventually as the carrier evaporates at printing temperatures, but it still does it's job until completely dried out and over-heating it doesn't produce toxic smoke. Changing out the pathetic fan this comes with this will help too. If you don't do it properly, you just burn out the cartridge heater or worse. Fire, death, dismemberment, etc.. You are making extra heat and it needs somewhere to go. But it works...

I push down the sponge to the bed (lightly squeezing the bottle) 'til the glue starts coming out on the bed thru the sponge, then I lift up so the sponge is still touching and spread it both horizontally and vertically (lifting up and placing the sponge back lightly (with enough pressure to spread the glue) on the bed at the start of each estimated row or column). I guess, depending on the size of the bed, you might need more than one squeeze, but with the bed on my Ender 3 Pro at 235mm square, I've never had to use more than a single squeeze will produce, even if I cover the entire bed, and I can typically get 3 to 5 prints out of a single covering of glue.
