• The Adjustable Replacement Tool Rest Sharpening Jig will allow you to locate all the basic sharpening positions with your bench grinder (grinder not included). The unique miter slide tool holder design allows the jig to be used more or less as a stone, which easily guides your blades, turning tools and chisels. Ratcheting Handles

NEW VERSION as of Oct 2019 with Internal Lock Washers for even better platform stability! Simply make your adjustments and conveniently position the ratcheting handles out of the way so you are not bumping them while you sharpen.

Adjust up, down and lean forward or back

Loosen the ratchet handles to adjust up and down and tilt the platform. Once your positions are found, secure both handles, then slightly loosen the bottom handle and lean the top half exactly where you would like for it to be.

Slide jig front to back

Loosen the base knob and you can adjust the whole unit by sliding it from the back to the front to achieve the perfect angle for the exact tool you will be sharpening.

The perfect fit for just the right angle

Having the ability to "wrap" the platform around the 1" grinding wheel is important when trying to achieve just the right angle for your tools to be sharpened. Some sharpening jigs don't have this feature and many of us simple "cut" out a slot on the platform. The Tool Rest Sharpening Jig has the slot milled right into the table so you don't run into that "road block" when setting up the angle for your next sharpening job.

Miter Slide Tool Holder

This unique device keeps your tool flat against the platform to help produce excellent results. Once your tool is secure and the platform and jig are set to the correct spot and correct angle, simple place the tool holder in the slot and work the tool side to side across the face of the grinding stone.
