Answer:	Finally figured it out through trial and error. On my iphone app I was trying in add the switch under the "Add Garage Door Opener" option. It turns out that's for the Atom's/Skylink opener mechanism, not this switch. Then I tried 2way appliance. No luck. This switch has to be added under the "Add device", "Appliance" option. I could not find this documented anywhere.

Answer:	These units are for older garage door openers that just have a normally open push button - the newer units have 2 wires but the button sends a "I think" 5khz signal to the garage door opener for it to operate.
