Answer: Hello – this is Alyssa, I work as a Customer Specialist for Atrix. The VACBP1 does not come with an extension cord. Atrix manufactures the Atrix backpack cord (pigtail) a certain length for two reasons: 1) users of this product range from professional cleaners to homeowners, and by manufacturing the cord as a pigtail it allows the operator to choose which size extension cord best suits their application; and 2) if the extension cord is damaged, it then offers the operator a quick fix - simply by replacing the extension cord, not the entire vacuum. Answer: The cord on the unit is about 12 inches long. This way you can add any length of extension cord to meet your needs. I added a 50' cord and I can reach any in my house.

Answer: Mine came with a 50-foot, orange extension cord that is removable if you prefer a shorter cord. It is NOT attached to the vacuum innards. That cord is only about 8 to 12 inches long. The cord is held together with a rubber loop connector that prevents it from pulling apart. I do not know what kind of cubic foot per minute (CFM) the vacuum produces, but it's adequate for my wood floors. The Hoover motor is a 120-volt, 60 HZ, 8.5 amp motor. If my high school physics memory is correct, volts X amps equals watts, so it's a 1,020 watt motor. While vacuuming, I also use an FM radio/MP3 Player noise-canceling headset I got for Christmas last year. It came from Home Depot for $29. It works fine and protects my hearing. I use it when blowing leaves, power spraying, operating my table and miter saws, etc. Hope this helps.

Answer: The wheels don't squeak. I don't use the attachment with wheels on my hardwood floors. I use the hard floor attachment which doesn't have wheels.

Answer: I have no idea about the color differences indicating features. Sorry. I can tell you mine is an ugly burgundy color but i love it because its light weight and picks up dog hair like nothing else I've ever used.

Answer: No but i prefer it for my wood laminate floor. The pad picks up stuff like hair and fine dust that might elude the regular carpet roller. I also found that i can squeeze the dust pad into tighter areas that the other vacuum head won't go. I loved that! That and i don't want to risk scratching my floor if the regular vacuum head picks up a rock or something.

Answer: The Sanitronic, to my knowledge as a former Kirby salesman, is an older model than the G series, so the answer would be "probably not."

Question: What kind of filter paper bags should I get for the vacuum
Answer: Yes, if you are talking about the plastic end caps. (Look for kirby Small or large “end caps”) They might not be sold here but they are available and replaceable. Just make sure that you clean off all the hair under the caps and bearings and make sure that the bearings spin freely before buying them. If not... then you will most likely ruin (melt) your new caps. (Assuming that is the reason that you need new caps and not because you lost them or just because it is dirty.) However, if you are talking about the bearings and/or the metal part that the bearings are stuck on, then no. Tip: If the bearings do not spin freely and easily you can try to free them up by oiling or greasing the bearings (take off the protective cover on the bearings) and get a pair of pliers and maybe some masking tape or rag to protect the bearing from getting damaged (when you grip them with the pliers), then try to spin the brushroll til it can spin freely again. After that, Replace the protective bearing cap and new plastic end cap install you brushroll and belt back into the nozzle head, attach the floor plate, put the belt onto the belt lifter, attach the nozzle back onto your kirby, lock it into place, then spin the belt lifter back to put the belt on. Done! Also: there is a small and large endcap. Make sure that you install them on the correct ends of the brushroll. There should be a stamped marking with an arrow pointing to the side for the small end cap. If you can’t see the small end cap mark then just check that the magnet on the brushroll is on the side of the green indicator light when reinstalling the brushroll (assuming that you have the kirby with the indicator light . Some kirbys didn’t have it.) if it is on the wrong side then you probably need to swap the end caps to the opposite sides. Another way to check is if the bristles are getting smashed by the belt. If the belt is running over the bristles then your end caps are on the wrong sides. If you can’t fix the bearings then you probably should just purchase a new brushroll or you’ll end up wasting your $ on your new end caps.
