Dimensions: 13.8 lbs Check for suction at the back of the unit after removing the hose where it attaches to the back of the unit. If there IS suction at the back of the machine with the hose removed, follow these steps: Unplug the unit from the outlet. Check the Pre- and Post-Motor filters for debris. Dirty filters can restrict airflow. The Pre-Motor Foam Filter is square. You can find it in a pull-out tray under the Dirt Tank. The Foam Filter may be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent. Reinstall the filter when it’s completely dry. The Multi-Layer Post-Motor Filter is rectangular. It can be found on the side of the machine. Note: The white Multi-Layer Post Motor Filter isn’t washable. Make sure the dirt tank is empty. Check the upper tank for build-up or clogs. If it needs to be cleaned, use a short, Phillips-head screwdriver and take off the separator plate with a cloth (can be dampened with water or mild detergent). Replace dirt tank. Check for good suction at the end of the upholstery hose. If there’s good suction, make sure the hose is connected firmly to the lower hose on the back of the vacuum. If there’s no suction, check the hose for splits, cracks, or clogs. Make sure the Brush Roll is rotating. If it isn’t, take the access plate off and examine the brush and belt for damage. The access panel can be taken off by lifting the four tabs on the bottom of your machine. Clearing clogs detach the Upper Hose from the machine. Insert a broomstick into the hose to push any obstruction through. Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on the back of the unit. Straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or laying the unit on its side with the lower hose towards the top side. Look through the hose for any obstruction. Answer:	The brush head detaches from the hose. I clean it by running extremely hot water through it. You could even soak it in a warm water bath if needed. If there is a hair stuck inside the plastic portion, you can use an unbent page clip to dig it out.

Answer:	Sorry to tell you this - I've had my first machine for yr and it worked fine until it would no longer spray- since it was old I thought some part must have worn out - and since it had given me many yrs of great service - I just went out and bought another one - I have had this new one for just about a yr and now the same problem is happening to this one - I've given up and use a spray bottle to apply solution and the machine to pick up the residue - I'll have to be in touch with the company - but this does seem like it could be a chronic problem.

The brushes are all the same material (aside from the optional brass brush) but the color difference is for keeping them apart which gives you the option to use one color in one area. So you could for instance use only the red brush in your bathroom and the green brush in your kitchen.

Just make sure you are constantly moving and do not keep in one spot for too long to avoid any wet spots and getting your mattress or sofa too wet. Use the attachment and should do the trick.

In reality, many people will never use the extra tools, and you can buy more pads pretty easily (I bought a pack of 3 heavy duty ones, so I always have a clean one). So in the end, do you want one that matches your kitchen decor or one that fits better in your garage?

Answer:	no, YOU pick up the paper clips..vacuums are not made for picking up paper clips..

Answer:	There is a HEPA filter in front of the vacuum, you lift the door from the bottom and you can take it out and wash it. and then you lift the canister out from the base ( like you're emptying the canister of dirt.) You will find 2 foam filters there. lift them both out and wash those too. Just dont throw in washing machine or dishwasher. I use dish detergent and wash them off in the sink. Just make sure they are completely dry before putting them back on the vacuum. After a dozen or so washings they will break down ( you will know this ) extra filters can be purchased on EBay or Amazon or other websites. I usually clean the foam filters when they are a very dark brown or gray color,then i also wash the HEPA filter also. Good luck! Question:	What is the difference between Shark NV 352 and the NV
Answer:	The 352 has a 25 foot cord, the 356 (professional) is 30', the hard floor tools are different. The 356 has a microfiber 'dust pad' that goes over the hardwood floor attachment. The 352's hard floor attachment has a 'V' shape to funnel debris no pad, but it does have a duster attachment both available to purchase separately. The dust cup on the 356 is larger and the overall machine is 2 lbs heavier then the 352. 356 also comes with a bag for the tools where my 352 did not. The other tools all appear to be the same on both models. They both run the same amps and can be converted into canister mode as well, but are aesthetically different.
Question:	Why is the little rectangle on the side sucking in so much air and causing it not to work
Answer:	I can answer that question specifically because it happened to me and caused me to give this vacuum an erroneously poor review. My shark lasted for just under four years and was amazing. THEN it started sucking air like crazy though that rectangle and suction dropped by 80%. I did everything to fix it ... cleaned all the filters, checked all the hoses ... nothing fixed it. I was about to put it to the curb for the garbage man when something told me to check it out one last time. Well to make a long story short ... if you open your dust canister, there is a conical thing in the middle with mesh screen sides. That mesh was clogged with dust/dirt. On a hunch I cleaned it with a toothbrush (extremely difficult and awkward job) and guess what? The suction is back 100% and my Shark is back like when it brand was new. NOTE WELL. NOWHERE in the manual does it suggest that this area should be cleaned. I hope this answer is not too late for you.
