Also please note that even though the motor design is new, you also get a 40% smaller dust bin size on the Motor Head. The Absolute gives you everything. 40% bigger dust bin, crevice tool, another stubby crevice tool with a brush, a blind/curtain brush, the motorized small power head for cars/couches etc, a head "meant" for hard surfaces such as tile, wood, etc which is a soft fiber velvet-like brush and a head meant for carpet which is your traditional stiffer brush. My opinion is that the Animal is the best value as the only thing you miss is the brush head meant for hard surfaces which everyone has done fine with for all time beforehand and you then save $100 dollars versus the Absolute. |

And 2 of our dogs are long haired German shepherds. This machine is quiet enough where I can actually put the nozzle into my piggy cages to clean them - it picked up small amounts of hay and all of their poo. Super simple. We are getting another because we're so impressed with it. |

| Answer: | Mine came with a 50-foot, orange extension cord that is removable if you prefer a shorter cord. It is NOT attached to the vacuum innards. That cord is only about 8 to 12 inches long. The cord is held together with a rubber loop connector that prevents it from pulling apart. I do not know what kind of cubic foot per minute (CFM) the vacuum produces, but it's adequate for my wood floors. The Hoover motor is a 120-volt, 60 HZ, 8.5 amp motor. If my high school physics memory is correct, volts X amps equals watts, so it's a 1,020 watt motor. While vacuuming, I also use an FM radio/MP3 Player noise-canceling headset I got for Christmas last year. It came from Home Depot for $29. It works fine and protects my hearing. I use it when blowing leaves, power spraying, operating my table and miter saws, etc. Hope this helps. |
