Question:	Where is the filter? i hope i do not have to buy this for a new machine just received
Answer:	When you tap the button to empty the vacuum you will see an area with an indentation that tells you to "slide to access filter". You slide it forward and lift it out. At the opposite end of the mesh screen, you will see an orange ring (the filter) with a wire handle. It pulls right out. The filter is paper so we vacuum it off with another hand held vacuum. You could probably wipe it down or gently brush it with a soft brush. Would not get it wet! Your vacuum comes with the filter. Do not know if it would be available from Shark separately or not so would use caution when cleaning.

Answer:	I guess they're both supposed to pick up a bowling ball, but my commercial unit sure wouldn't be able to. They must have some special attachment that they use in the commercial. If you want really good suction, go to Home Depot and get a wet/dry vacuum. They are loud, but they have the BEST suction for corners, baseboards, and dog hair. I have been quite disappointed with the Oreck and have gone back to using my wet/dry vacuum.

Designed especially for pet hair pick-up around the house, this handheld vacuum cleaner delivers the power needed for fast results. The unit comes equipped with a flexible rubber contour nozzle that effectively removes dirt and pet hair from upholstery and stairs, plus a hard nozzle for cleaning dry messes or the inside of automobiles. Switch out one nozzle for the other by pressing down on the round nozzle-release button and snapping the new nozzle into place. The vacuum cleaner offers lightweight construction at less than 4 pounds, a comfortable easy-grip handle, and a fingertip-access on/off switch. Its dirt container should be emptied after each use to ensure maximum suction performance.
