Answer:	I had the 50010 for 8 years, and just purchased the 50020 today after the other person living in my house dropped and broke it. The differences I see are: The 020 has way better smooth rolling wheels, my 010 was noisy on hardwoods, this one feels padded and it quiet and rolls much better. The 020 also has covered rear wheels where as 010 are exposed. The 020 has a black color scheme the 010 is silver. The 020 has a slightly larger canister/dust bin, but I think this might be in width as I believe the old canister fits. Canister on 020 is smoke colored, on 010 it is clear. You can see content easilt on both. Interior canister plastic dust filter on 020 is clear, on 010 its red they apear the same dimensions and are interchangeable, however the fit of this in connection is tighter on the 020. My 010 was old and mucky, but I believe the 020 has better picking up off the side like when I clean at a floorboard. I also feel relatively confident that it possibly has a slightly better battery life, although both use same battery. Both use same filter and filter holder, same power switch scheme, same method of attaching / detaching head, assembly (one screw to attach handle to body), and both have a visible battery meter in the same location. The 020 of course is the updated version. My local box store only had this one in stock.

Answer:	I bought my first one in 2010 and my second one in 2016. I used them primarily on hickory wood floors with the brush turned on for better debris pickup with no scratches. We have no kids or pets, but; we do have a shoes on policy. Loved this vac so much, bought a second one after the first one wore out.

Answer:	My three daughters (23, 18, & 16) all have very long hair, and so do I. We also have six small dogs and a bunny in the house! This vacuum handles all the hair quite well, especially if I use it daily. If I skip a few days in a row, I find myself having to cut out hair from around the brush bar. I keep a metal handled flyswatter handy and sometimes use this as a tool to get out blockages that make it past the brush bar. I might have to use my flyswatter tool every three months or so. It's not really a big deal though.

My boss burned down his $25,000 Italian MV Augusta super bike when the battery exploded while charging. Imagine burning down an entire housing complex? Yes, people have done it. Answer:	The battery is internal with the unit.
Question:	Does long hair clog onto the brush
Answer:	The battery is the weakest point of this otherwise decent vacuum. We've had this vacuum for less than 2 years and the battery holds no more than a 10 minute charge. Because the battery is NOT replaceable, it means that an otherwise fully functional vacuum will become useless much sooner than it should. I'd be very happy with this vacuum if Black + Decker had designed the battery to be consumer-replaceable.
