There is nothing worse than pulling up water that is not clean after you have used the machine at least twice. It is discouraging and disgusting. That is why I LOVE this one, it cleans using very little of the 2x solution (a small bottle is included) and then removes the water leaving you with a clean, dry floor without streaks. It is lightweight and I am nor writhing in pain when I finish. |

| Answer: | To answer your question specifically, no, the machine cannot go flush up against the baseboard and into corners because the cleaning brushes are recessed a small distance from the front edge of the machine. There is also a small area on either side of a threshold when moving from one room to another which the machine doesn't clean very well. This happens with a change from one flooring material to another (i.e., vinyl to tile, vinyl to wood, wood to marble). But, overall, these baseboard, corner and threshold areas are small enough that I can use a soft cleaning tool such as a mop or sponge, to my satisfaction. I hope this helps.Judy |

| Answer: | If you are sucking up clear water, yes the area you are cleaning should be clean. However I let mine dry, pretreated it again and went back over it to make sure and the penetrate deeper. It seemed to work. My carpet had an older set in pet stain that I didn't find right away. |

| Answer: | You need an enzyme cleaner to completely break down pet urine. Especially for cats. If you don’t remove all of the urine, it will eventually start to smell again and could cause the pet to pee there in the future. |

| Answer: | The thing weighs about 12 pounds. I don't know what you mean by motor capacity, but if you go over the same area too many times it'll pull the carpet fibers up. My office was a mess. I had Stanley steamer come in a year or so ago and they did an okay job. This thing was 99 bucks and in 20 minutes did a fantastic job. I have white carpets that were gray and now their white again. |

| Answer: | Hi Donna,The package states that the filter fits ALL FLoorMate Models. However the filter in this listing is as pictured. It is a white pleated filter and measures approximately 4 inches x 3 x 2 inches deep. You may have a second filter on your unit. What you are describing sounds like a washable filter. Lots of vacuums and hard floor cleaners have a pleated filter to catch all the crud as it come through and also has a foam filter to protect the fan or air flow section, which may be what your yellow filter is. Those can also be replaced and many are washable. Personally, I buy generic air cleaner filters and cut to size as I have a lot of cleaning equipment. I think you should call a local Hoover dealer or the Hoover 800 number and have someone tell you what the yellow foam part is called or give you a part number. Hope this helps! |

| Answer: | I had my original Floormate for about 10 years and only changed the filter once or twice. If you rinse them out after every use when you empty the canisters, they'll last a long time. But be advised that these filters DO NOT fit in the new Floormate Deluxe model FH40160PC. The filter in the new Floormate looks like a very thin plastic sponge. |

| Answer: | I have only puchased the white ones, made by Hoover. Others that are available are NOT Hoover genuine parts. The P/N I purchased is 40112050 for Hoover's Floormate hard floor machine. After use they need to be rinsed with clean water and let to dry. Hope this helps. |
